CASology SOFTness

CASology SOFTness
It's Tuesday and you know that means a new cue word over at CASology!  This week, we're getting a little soft.  Not with the rules of clean and simple card design, of course.  It still takes certain elements to create an effective CAS design (you can find them on the CASology blog)! week-225-soft With the number of stuffed animals collected over the years with four children in the house, teddy bears came to mind for this cue!  Uniko Studio has a rather adorable teddy bear image in the Sweet Baby set, so I used it to create my design.  I die cut the stitched main panel using one of the dies in Mama Elephant's Femme Frames.  The stitching on the die coordinates nicely with the stitching on the bear!  I used a piece of yellow decorative paper to paper piece the bear and then stamped the simple, pretty sentiment below it.  The main panel was then popped up on the card base using foam dots for a little dimension. I hope you'll take a little time to visit the design team and guest designer blogs this week!  They work hard each week to provide inspiration for the challenges and would love to hear a little hello from you! Rubber Dance Stamps Guest Designer!

Rubber Dance Stamps Guest Designer!
I'm back over on the Rubber Dance Stamps blog today with my final post as guest designer! 2016-nov-ruberdance-guestdesignerbadge This week, I created a simple thinking of you card design using the Bee stamp and one of the beautiful sentiments from the Just a Note set.  You can find all the details over on the Rubber Dance Stamps blog! I couldn't resist making a second card for today's post!  Once again, I played along with the November challenge of turquoise, pink and purple and included the optional birthday theme! 2016-nov-rubberdance-challengebadge

Bibi's birthday is coming up on December 4th, so Happy, Happy Birthday, Bibi!

2016-nov21-rubberdance-card2-wm I stamped the spiral circle (Round in Circles set) after applying turquoise, pink and purple inks with sponges.  I then stamped the birthday sentiment (Happy Birthday set) in black in directly on top of the circle image.  Then, three sequins were added as embellishments.  A very simple, one-layer, clean & simple card! I hope you'll not only check out all the beautiful images in the online store as well as follow along on their blog, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube accounts for lots of wonderful inspiration! Winners will be announced on December 9 in the November Challenges and Hops winners post on the STAMPlorations blog. Winners have until December 20 to claim their prize. I created a clean and simple design for the hop using the new Be Thankful set and coordinating dies!  You can purchase these as a bundle in the store! 2016-nov-bethankfulbundle-image This is such a heartwarming set!  I especially love the stitched details on the die cut sentiment! 2016-nov16-givethankshop-wm Since I'm a CAS kind of gal &, at this stage in my life, have little time to sit and color in detail, I did some selective watercoloring on the main image and love how it turned out!  The die cut sentiment is stamped with indigo colored ink (StampinUp!), one of my favorite colors, and popped up with foam dots!  The main panel is a stitched die cut rectangle and is popped up with foam dots for a little dimension. Below is the link up containing all participating designers.  Remember, by playing along, you become eligible for additional prizes! EMBRACE CASology

EMBRACE CASology
It's Tuesday and time for a new cue word over at CASology!  Time to, once again, embrace your clean and simple side and start brainstorming design ideas! week-224-embrace I went with the obvious this week and couldn't resist using a cute little panda as the main image.  I die cut the rolling hills using using Mama Elephant's Landscape Trio die set.  A few foam dots added dimension.  The panda was stamped directly on the card base, but the balloon body was stamped and fussy cut before being popped up with foam dots.  The simple sentiment is from Reverse Confetti's I Like You set. It's Tuesday again!  Time for a new CASology cue word and it's one that will have your team spirit awakened in no time! week-223-team I started thinking about couples being a team so went with a wedding theme for my card design!  I used a simple black and white color scheme, arranging all element in a diagonal line to create a little interest.  A very quick and easy card to make!  The main image is an older stamp in my stash from Inkadinkado and the sentiment is from Uniko Studio's All Occasions Sentiments #5. I hope you'll take a little time to visit the design team and guest designer blogs this week!  They work hard each week to provide inspiration for the challenges and would love to hear a little hello from you! CASology CURE

CASology CURE
It's Tuesday and time again for a new cue word over at CASology!  Feel you're lacking in clean and simple mojo lately?  Be sure and take a look at this week's gallery for inspiration! Working in a health profession, I thought of medical things when I started brainstorming.  I finally settled on a cure for the blues.  I tend to be attracted to people with positive vibes.  I find that spending time with those who possess a positive attitude really does have a positive effect on my own spirits!  I think you could safely say happiness is contagious! I used Sweet Stamp Shop's Smile More stamp set to create this clean and simple design.  I stamped two of the photos by masking the images.  The image at the forefront was stamped and fussy cut before being popped up with foam dots to add a little dimension.  I then colored the smiling hearts on each photo with a red Copic marker and added a little Crystal Effects to the red heart on the popped up image.  That's it!  Using your main image in groups of three works quite well in CAS design.  I decided to use selective coloring on this particular image because it is a bit large and I wanted to preserve that beloved white space! How about you?  What does this week's cue word make you think of?  So many possibilities and you can even join me outside the box with your brainstorming, if you'd like! week-221-cure I hope you’ll stop by and leave the rest of the design team and this week’s guest designer a little blog love this week!  They create such awesome inspiration each week for the CASology challenges!

CASology SUPPORT

CASology SUPPORT
It's Tuesday and a brand new cue word is up over at CASology!  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we thought this week's word would be a fitting one to start off the month! week-218-support   When I think of support, I think of love and created a one-layer card by using a simple heart shaped stencil and a large script sentiment.  I used pink Heidi Swapp Color Shine spray for the heart.  It has a bit of shimmer to it even though the photo doesn't show it.  The stencil and sentiment are both part of the Heidi Swapp With All My Heart stencil/stamp set. I hope you’ll stop by and leave the rest of the design team and this week’s guest designer a little blog love this week!  They create such awesome inspiration each week for the CASology challenges!
