CASology HOMEwork

It’s time for a new cue word challenge over at CASology!  This one will have you dreaming of houses, I’m sure!  Or maybe not.  That’s what I’m always curious to see each week…how our participants will interpret the cue word!  I admit, I’ve had many “Why didn’t I think of that?!” moments!

For me, I couldn’t help but think about homework.  Not cleaning, although, that did come to mind and I remembered I have a stamp set that would work for that line of thought!  However, I ended up doing a teacher themed card!  DS1 has homework every night this year except the teacher promised them no homework on the weekends!  I think that sounds like a decent deal!

Stamps:  Verve (paper), Paper Smooches (apple), Mama Elephant (sentiment)

I used a little paper image from Verve as the main image and then stamped the sentiment directly on top of it.  The apple was stamped, colored with Copic markers, fussy cut and given a little sparkle with a clear Wink of Stella brush marker.  To add a little dimension, I used foam dots to pop up the paper as well as the apple.  I originally thought I was going to use a white card base, but after assembling everything decided the white just wasn’t quite right!  I pulled out a piece of kraft cardstock and it seemed like a better fit!

Be sure and visit the design team members’ blogs as well as this week’s guest designer’s blog for even more inspiration!
