It's Tuesday and time for a brand new cue word over at CASology! This one is full of strength and it's going to be interesting to see how everyone interprets it! I decided to use a digital image from Kitty Bee Designs to create my design. This time of year, winds are often strong and kite flying is a popular spring time activity! I printed the panda image and then framed it using a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Die. I colored the kite with watercolors and then applied a thin layer of sparkle using a Clear Overlay Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen. The bear's eye spot was colored using a Copic C7 gray marker. The sentiment is from the Precious Remembrance Shop Positive Thoughts set. The finished main panel is popped up on the card base using foam adhesive for dimension. Be sure and go say hello on the design team member and guest designer blogs!

Happy Monday! I'm back with even more A Muse Studio inspiration today as a design team member and, this time, I'm using some of the adorable chicks included in the two new stamp sets! I used the larger chick from the Happy Spring set and added two of the little chicks from the Sweet Easter set to create a trio of cuteness. I simply stamped the chicks and then colored them using a little Neon Yellow Splash ink and a small Aqua Brush to lightly apply the color. Then sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the one-layer design was done! A quick design that can be used for a quick note or a spring/Easter occasion! Be sure and check out all A Muse Studio has to offer! The new release is so fun and perfect for spring/Easter projects you may be brainstorming! It's another cloudy day here today. I tend to miss the sun after several days of gray overhead, but at least we have milder temperatures now and going outdoors is a bit more pleasant. Continue Reading...
I had to create a sweet baby card for the baby girl blog hop that began yesterday for Lesley Croghan! This is such wonderfully exciting news and I can't wait for Lesley and Corey to have their sweet little bundle in their arms next month! I grabbed WPlus9's Happy Gang set for the occasion! I stamped the little mouse in gray on pink cardstock, fussy cutting it afterward. The main panel is a Stitched Rectangle Die from Simon Says Stamp. I stamped the sentiment and balloon string on the main panel in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The balloon was stamped with silver ink and fussy cut before being popped up with foam adhesive. Three Pretty Pink Posh silver star sequins were added to the design before popping up the assembled main panel with foam adhesive on the card base. Babies are simply the sweetest creatures. Here's wishing Lesley and Corey all the best in their new adventure! Be sure and join in the celebration and link up your creation by this Friday, March 31st, at midnight (MST)! Continue Reading...
Have you heard?! A Blog Named Hero is celebrating their 5 Year Anniversary today and tomorrow with a fabulous blog hop! There have been so many wonderful companies who have sponsored the blog over the past 5 years and we wanted to give them a shout out as we celebrate this milestone, thanking them for their valued support over the past five years! I have included the hop & prize details at the bottom of this post. They can also be found over at A Blog Named Hero for easy reference and the full list of today's blog hop participants. As an A Blog Named Hero design team member, I created a card using some of Hero Arts' newest stamps! I happen to love silhouette stamps and had to acquire the new Birthday Animal Silhouettes set as soon as I saw it! So much fun! I stamped the elephant in Soft Granite and the party hat in Crimson. The little ball at the top of the party hat is a small accent pearl that I colored with a Copic marker! I masked the water spray and used distress inks to add color. The sentiment was stamped in black ink and then I added a touch of sparkle with a clear Wink of Stella brush marker.
A Blog Named Hero is so thankful for our wonderful sponsors and collaborating companies! Several companies decided to help us celebrate our fifth anniversary with giveaways and they were so generous that we decided to spread the love over both hop days with different prizes to be won each day! Giveaway prizes total more than $500! To win, leave a comment on each hop stop. The day is finally here! The A Muse Studio new release is now available! I have to say, my favorite from the release has to be the new Bunny Candy Package! There are so many possibilities for this! I dressed mine up with the pretty new cardstocks, googly eyes and a little pearl sticker for a tail! Inside, I put a Hershey's Chocolate Nugget which is the perfect rectangular shape and size. The nose and mouth are selectively stamped from the bunny in the (new release) Happy Spring set. I also made a little treat bag to go with these cute critters using the little Lunch Sack Die. I embellished it with a die cut Stitched Egg (new release ) and delicate, mini die cut flower and added a little Bermuda pearl sticker to the flower center. The egg is watercolored using Splash Color Spray. The simple sentiment is from the (new release) Sweet Easter set & is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I filled it with green crinkle paper grass and additional treats. I hope this gives you some ideas for simple spring/Easter gift ideas! I'm thinking teachers and classmates might just need a few of these in a variety of colors and patterns! I may even try adding some of the adorable Bunny Bums (cotton tails) that are available in the store to the back of the bunnies! So cute! Have fun shopping in the online store and making the items on your wish list a reality! You can find the new release here. If you just can't narrow it down and want the entire new release, you can purchase the I Want It All Bundle! Enjoy spring's arrival and stop back often as I'll be back with even more new release inspiration in the days ahead! Continue Reading...
Today is the third and final day of sneak peeks for A Muse Studio's upcoming new release! That means tomorrow is release day! Doing a little happy dance, are you?! For today's sneak peek, I chose to create a watercolored design using one of the adorable bunnies in the new release along with the awesome new stitched egg die cuts! I used a mixture of the fantastic Splash Inks to watercolor the eggs and main panel (using watercolor paper). These sprays are so fun to use and, as you can see, can be used in other ways than the obvious! I stamped the adorable bunny in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Vanilla cardstock before cutting it out and adhering it to the main panel with foam adhesive. I attached the main panel to the card base using foam adhesive to add a little more dimension. It's time to get your wish list started if you haven't already! Tomorrow's the big day! While you're at it, go ahead and follow A Muse on Instagram and like their page on Facebook to keep updated on current events and the future new releases! I'll be back tomorrow with even more A Muse Studio inspiration! Have a great Thursday! Continue Reading...
It's Day 2 of sneak peeks over at A Muse Studio! Today, I'm sharing a super clean and simple design I created with the new Happy Spring stamp set, being released this Friday! It's a cute little set and this adorable bunny is one of the critters included in it! I stamped and fussy cut the bunny (coordinating dies will be available with the new release). I die cut a little bow tie using one of the new release gingham cardstocks and the mini bow tie die. I popped up the assembled bunny & bow tie with foam adhesive on the white cardstock base after stamping the simple sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Such a simple card and you could use a variety of patterned cardstock to vary the bow tie a bit! Great for mass producing, but with a variety of patterns and colors! Tomorrow is the final day of sneak peeks! You might want to get your wish list started because Friday the entire new release will be available in the online store! Don't forget to follow along with A Muse on Instagram and Facebook for the latest updates and inspiration! Have a wonderful Wednesday! Continue Reading...
Excitement is in the air! Today is Day 1 of A Muse Studio's sneak peeks for Friday's new release! Spring and Easter are on our minds now and you're going to love what's included in the new goodies that will soon be in the store! For today's sneak peek, I chose to create a design using some of the new release patterned cardstocks for paper piecing! If you like cuddly little bunnies, this release is for you! Bunnies are running rampant (along with some other critters)! The trio I used on this design are from the new Sweet Easter stamp set. After paper piecing the bunnies, I layered them with die cuts from the Landscape Die set and chose Grass cardstock for the grass. I assembled the scene on the main panel using foam adhesive for dimension. Stay tuned for another sneak peek tomorrow! In the meantime, go ahead and follow A Muse on Instagram and like their page on Facebook to keep updated on current events and the upcoming new releases!Continue Reading...
It's Tuesday and time for a new cue word challenge over at CASology! I'm guessing we're going to have a fun gallery this week! There are SO many ways to interpret this one and I had a tough time narrowing my own design down to one theme! I may just have to create another card for later in the week! With in-loves who live on a farm, one of my first thoughts was cows or horses eating hay. Have you ever heard a cow eating hay?! Now that's a crunch if I've ever heard one! I stamped the cow from Lawn Fawn's Critters on the Farm set and then colored with Copics and fussy cut the finished image. I die cut a circle out of the card front with a circle die from Mama Elephant's Pizazz Creative Cuts Die Set to frame the main image. I then popped up the cow inside the card with foam dots, adding little tufts of green grass with a Copic marker (& forgot to take a photo). I wanted the cow's face to be peeking out of the circle and this allowed for that. The simple sentiment is from the same stamp set and is stamped in black ink directly on the card front. I hope you'll take a little time to visit the design team members' blogs as well as our guest designer's blog this week! They'd love to hear from you!

Happy Monday! Today is the beginning of the February challenge over at A Blog Named Hero and it's right up my alley with clean & simple as the theme!
Jane's Doodles is our sponsor and I combined one of their fun sets with a Hero Arts set to create a feel good card! The raccoon was stamped and colored with Copic markers on a die cut stitched panel. I couldn't resist adding googly eyes, of course, especially when he has a drink in hand! The wine glass was stamped, colored with Copics and fussy cut before being popped up for dimension. I added sparkle to the wine using a clear Wink of Stella brush marker. I added three tiny clear gemstones for embellishments before popping up the assembled main panel on the card base using foam dots. Such a fun and simple design! That raccoon makes me smile every time I see it! Be sure and play along this month with your own CAS design! Head on over to A Blog Named Hero to check out the inspiration from the design team!

A brand new cue word is up over at CASology! This week, youth is the focus. Whether you think of babies, quirky habits or wrinkle free skin, you'll want to play along and link up to what's sure to be a fun gallery! With Kitty Bee Designs as our sponsor this week, I chose to use their adorable Ipod Panda as my focal image. I printed the digital image and colored with Copic markers. I added clear stickles to his headphones because what youth doesn't like a little extra flair?! I haven't used my Nestablities Circle Dies for what seems like forever, but used one to frame the panda and then popped it up with foam dots to add dimension. I hope you'll take a little time and leave some blog love for the design team and this week's guest designer on their blogs! They work hard each week to provide inspiration for the challenges! challenge blog by Monday at NOON (CST) for your chance to win the prize from Kitty Bee Designs!

It's Tuesday and time for a new cue word over at CASology! This week is bound to inspire a pretty gallery! With Poppystamps returning as our sponsor, I combined a couple of their stamp sets to create my arctic themed design. I'm pretty sure Antarctica glistens. A lot. After stamping and fussy cutting the iceberg and sweet little polar bear, I used a Copic marker on the bear's cheeks and ears. The iceberg was covered with Diamond Stickles for the GLISTEN-ing effect. I used a Mama Elephant landscape die to create the grounding water piece and then popped everything up with varying heights of foam dots. The little red heart was also colored with Copic markers, fussy cut and popped up. I stamped the sentiment below the scene to preserve white space in the main portion of the card. I hope you'll take some time and visit the design team members' blogs, leaving them a little blog love! They are such an inspiration each week, brainstorming and creating wonderfully CAS designs to jumpstart everyone's creativity! Don't forget to link up your own clean and simple creation on the challenge blog by Monday at NOON (CST)!
