Jump Start the Holidays Hop with Hero Arts

Jump Start the Holidays Hop with Hero Arts
It's time to get hopping on the Jump Start the Holidays Hop with Hero Arts!  You should have arrived here from Kimberly's blog. We at A Blog Named Hero are joining Hero Arts and Lea Lawson as she celebrates her month-long Comeback Party and creating holiday cards (including Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, etc)!  Lea began her party on October 7, so you'll want to visit her blog to check out all the fun that's been happening already this month! There is a $25 gift certificate up for grabs, so be sure and hop and comment on all the blogs on the hop by Friday, November 10, at 11:59 PST! I chose to use the Hero Arts Tree Trunks background stamp (S5477) as the foundation for my clean & simple design.  I created a square 5x5 card and die cut a stitched square main panel before stamping the tree trunks in black ink.  I stamped a little trio of leaves from the Hero Arts Fresh Herbs set, sprinted them with a little Heidi Swapp Teal Color Shine Spray and, once dry,  individually cut them out before popping them up on the main panel with foam adhesive.  I cut a narrow strip of white cardstock and stamped the three small words from the Hero Arts Color Layering Koi set in black.  This little piece was then popped up with foam adhesive over the trees. The assembled main panel was then popped up on the card base using foam adhesive. Now it's time to head on over to Michelle's blog to continue on the hop!  If you want to see the full list or need to start from the beginning, visit the Hero Arts blog!

Have a fabulous Friday!

CASology 5-Year Anniversary Blog Hop!

CASology 5-Year Anniversary Blog Hop!
Today is the day!  It's finally here!  It's CASology's 5-year anniversary celebration and I hope you'll hop along with us because there is a ton of inspiration and some rather fabulous prizes up for grabs for those who do!  Just remember, the deadline is next Monday, July 31, at NOON (CDT) for hopping and being eligible for the prizes!  You must leave comments at all stops to be eligible to win!  For more hop details, including a list of prizes and the full hop list, head on over to the CASology blog! You should have arrived here from the CASology blog!  I'm the second stop on the hop! I happen to love hot air balloons and had to dig around in my stash for the balloon stamp set I just knew I had, but since I tend to be a bit of an "acquire it and forget about it for a while" kind of gal, it took a bit more digging than it probably should have.  Now, had I had my creative stash neatly documented and categorized like those wonderfully organized individuals we all see on Pinterest, I may have spared myself some frustration.  Good thing I'm not a quitter!  I actually found it!  Once I had it in hand, I wanted to make a thank you themed card because I feel I owe a lot of people a thank you during this milestone celebration! 2017 July25 DIAMOND WM I've been loving the Distress Oxide Inks for blending the last little while, so pulled those out to create a pretty skyline on the main panel.  Once dry, I dressed it up a bit by die cutting it with a stitched rectangle die and spritzed it lightly with some Gold Color Shine spray to add a little shimmer.  The skyline silhouette and simple sentiment were stamped in black ink. Three small silver star sequins were added as embellishments.  The assembled main panel was then popped up on the card base using foam adhesive for dimension. 2017 July25 DIAMOND closeup I won't keep you any longer, so head on to the next stop on the hop, Altenew!

Have fun and good luck!

Coffee Drinking Unicorn for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Coffee Drinking Unicorn for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!
I'm back with a second post for today!  I feel like I've been stamping up a storm lately!  Whew!  While it's fun, I do tend to need a break (yes, I just said that) after going on a crafting streak.  I have several cards to share yet this week, but I probably won't be creating much of anything new in my craft room for a few days while I give my creative mojo a little time to breathe!  DD loves to craft with me, but now that the weather is milder, we're going to head outdoors a bit more and enjoy the fresh air! I wanted to play along with the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop this week! Spring Hop 2017 I went through my bucket of supplies that haven't been used and settled on the smile-evoking Moody Unicorns set by Gerda Steiner Designs.  I paired it with the little coffee cup in the Hedgehog with Coffee set.  I thought I'd play along with the Gerda Steiner Designs 31st Share Your Designs Challenge too while I was at it! I recently acquired a set of Tombow Dual Brush Markers and gave them a try on the unicorn and coffee cup!  Very fun!  To create the curvy, stitched main panel, I simply used a die from the A Muse Landscape Dies!  I went with a rainbow color scheme for the unicorn's tail and mane because, after all, they are magical creatures!  I also added gold sparkle to the horn using a Wink of Stella Glitter Gold Brush Marker, enhancing that magical feeling only unicorns provide! 2017 Mar SpringCoffeeHop closeup The simple sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The finished main panel was popped up using foam adhesive to add a little dimension and then three mini gold star sequins were added as embellishments.  I think I'll send this card through the mail to someone.  Who doesn't like a bright rainbow coming out of their mailbox?! Have a marvelous Monday!   2017 Signature   Save Save SaveContinue Reading...

Baby Girl Croghan Blog Hop

Baby Girl Croghan Blog Hop
I had to create a sweet baby card for the baby girl blog hop that began yesterday for Lesley Croghan!  This is such wonderfully exciting news and I can't wait for Lesley and Corey to have their sweet little bundle in their arms next month! 2017 Mar25 Baby Girl Broghan Blog Hop I grabbed WPlus9's Happy Gang set for the occasion!  I stamped the little mouse in gray on pink cardstock, fussy cutting it afterward.  The main panel is a Stitched Rectangle Die from Simon Says Stamp.  I stamped the sentiment and balloon string on the main panel in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  The balloon was stamped with silver ink and fussy cut before being popped up with foam adhesive. 2017 Mar LesleyC BabyHop Closeup Three Pretty Pink Posh silver star sequins were added to the design before popping up the assembled main panel with foam adhesive on the card base.  Babies are simply the sweetest creatures.  Here's wishing Lesley and Corey all the best in their new adventure! Be sure and join in the celebration and link up your creation by this Friday, March 31st, at midnight (MST)!   2017 Signature   Save Save SaveContinue Reading...

A Blog Named Hero’s 5th Anniversary Blog Hop Celebration!
Have you heard?!  A Blog Named Hero is celebrating their 5 Year Anniversary today and tomorrow with a fabulous blog hop! 2017 Mar BlogHop Logo There have been so many wonderful companies who have sponsored the blog over the past 5 years and we wanted to give them a shout out as we celebrate this milestone, thanking them for their valued support over the past five years!  I have included the hop & prize details at the bottom of this post.  They can also be found over at A Blog Named Hero for easy reference and the full list of today's blog hop participants. As an A Blog Named Hero design team member, I created a card using some of Hero Arts' newest stamps!  I happen to love silhouette stamps and had to acquire the new Birthday Animal Silhouettes set as soon as I saw it!  So much fun!  I stamped the elephant in Soft Granite and the party hat in Crimson.  The little ball at the top of the party hat is a small accent pearl that I colored with a Copic marker!  I masked the water spray and used distress inks to add color.  The sentiment was stamped in black ink and then I added a touch of sparkle with a clear Wink of Stella brush marker. 2017 Mar BlogHopElephant Closeup

Coffee Loving Paper Crafters + Kraftin’ Kimmie

DT Badge I'm back over on the Coffee Loving Card Makers blog today featuring Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! With so many sweet, whimsical images in the store, I found myself wishing I had more creative time to make more than one card, but alas, real life happens on a daily basis in my house!  I settled on the Angie stamp set.  After all, it's coffee themed and has my picture on it (not really, but it could be me on any given morning...)!  If only I looked that cute with disheveled hair and p.j.'s! I stamped and then colored the little gal with Copic markers before fussy cutting.  I used a Heidi Swapp stencil and sponged the chevron pattern onto the card base before adhering the main image with foam dots.  The sentiment and a trio of gold sequins were added to finish the design.  I also added a little sparkle to the hair clips with clear Stickles. Spring break will arrive here on the home front later in the week, so I'm trying to wrap my brain around simple plans to make things run smoothly with all four kids at home.  Baking, book reading, crafts and outings are part of the game plan.  It's looking like we may be in for some more white stuff too, so that should provide a change of pace for a day or so!  I'm so over snow at this point, but if it makes the kids happy and I don't have to be out driving in it, I'm content to settle in at home for a day or two, watching it accumulate & providing hot chocolate & marshmallows for rosy cheeked children!  I'd considered putting away all the snow gear over the weekend, but it's a good thing I didn't! Don't forget the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is going on right now and there are tons of prizes thanks to our wonderful sponsors over on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog!  Be sure and link up your card by this Friday to be eligible to win!

Have a marvelous Monday!

Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

2016 SpringBloghopLogo Today's the day!  It's time for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Are you ready?!  With 51 Super Sponsors, there are prizes galor, so you really don't want to miss the opportunity to play along & take in all the inspiration!  For complete details, head on over to the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blogThe hop ends a week from today on Friday, March 25.
I chose to use stamps from Pink & Main for my coffee themed card! Since I'm currently adoring pandas, I had to use the adorable Pandamonium set.  It's not actually a coffee themed set, but I used elements from it to create a coffee card!  The panda was stamped first.  I then stamped the little mug and fussy cut it before popping it up with a foam dot to add a little dimension.  I hand drew the dashed lines of steam.  The main panel was then layered on black and popped up with foam dots. I hope you'll take some time to join in the coffee hop fun with us during the week ahead!  This hop is going to be so full of inspiration and loads of fun!

Have a wonderful weekend!
