CASology YOUTH

CASology YOUTH
A brand new cue word is up over at CASology!  This week, youth is the focus.  Whether you think of babies, quirky habits or wrinkle free skin, you'll want to play along and link up to what's sure to be a fun gallery! 2016 KittyBeeDesigns Logo With Kitty Bee Designs as our sponsor this week, I chose to use their adorable Ipod Panda as my focal image.  I printed the digital image and colored with Copic markers.  I added clear stickles to his headphones because what youth doesn't like a little extra flair?!  I haven't used my Nestablities Circle Dies for what seems like forever, but used one to frame the panda and then popped it up with foam dots to add dimension. I hope you'll take a little time and leave some blog love for the design team and this week's guest designer on their blogs!  They work hard each week to provide inspiration for the challenges! CASology TEAM

CASology TEAM
It's Tuesday again!  Time for a new CASology cue word and it's one that will have your team spirit awakened in no time! week-223-team I started thinking about couples being a team so went with a wedding theme for my card design!  I used a simple black and white color scheme, arranging all element in a diagonal line to create a little interest.  A very quick and easy card to make!  The main image is an older stamp in my stash from Inkadinkado and the sentiment is from Uniko Studio's All Occasions Sentiments #5. I hope you'll take a little time to visit the design team and guest designer blogs this week!  They work hard each week to provide inspiration for the challenges and would love to hear a little hello from you! CASology CURE

CASology CURE
It's Tuesday and time again for a new cue word over at CASology!  Feel you're lacking in clean and simple mojo lately?  Be sure and take a look at this week's gallery for inspiration! Working in a health profession, I thought of medical things when I started brainstorming.  I finally settled on a cure for the blues.  I tend to be attracted to people with positive vibes.  I find that spending time with those who possess a positive attitude really does have a positive effect on my own spirits!  I think you could safely say happiness is contagious! I used Sweet Stamp Shop's Smile More stamp set to create this clean and simple design.  I stamped two of the photos by masking the images.  The image at the forefront was stamped and fussy cut before being popped up with foam dots to add a little dimension.  I then colored the smiling hearts on each photo with a red Copic marker and added a little Crystal Effects to the red heart on the popped up image.  That's it!  Using your main image in groups of three works quite well in CAS design.  I decided to use selective coloring on this particular image because it is a bit large and I wanted to preserve that beloved white space! How about you?  What does this week's cue word make you think of?  So many possibilities and you can even join me outside the box with your brainstorming, if you'd like! week-221-cure I hope you’ll stop by and leave the rest of the design team and this week’s guest designer a little blog love this week!  They create such awesome inspiration each week for the CASology challenges!

CASology SUPPORT

CASology SUPPORT
It's Tuesday and a brand new cue word is up over at CASology!  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we thought this week's word would be a fitting one to start off the month! week-218-support   When I think of support, I think of love and created a one-layer card by using a simple heart shaped stencil and a large script sentiment.  I used pink Heidi Swapp Color Shine spray for the heart.  It has a bit of shimmer to it even though the photo doesn't show it.  The stencil and sentiment are both part of the Heidi Swapp With All My Heart stencil/stamp set. I hope you’ll stop by and leave the rest of the design team and this week’s guest designer a little blog love this week!  They create such awesome inspiration each week for the CASology challenges! CASology CUTE-ness

CASology CUTE-ness
week-217-cute It's Tuesday and time for a brand new cue word brainstorming session over at CASology!  This week, we're bringing out the cute in CAS design while introducing a brand new sponsor, Kitty Bee Designs! 2016-kittybeedesigns-logo   The design team is featuring two of the images from their online store this week and there is even more cuteness where those came from, so be sure and go browse their digital and clear stamp selection!  I chose to use Heart Strings Raccoon.  Valentine's Day came to mind and I thought he was perfect for the theme!   Isn't he the cutest?!  I used selective coloring on my black and white design.  Using Crystal Effects, a little shine was added to the hearts for interest.  The main panel was created using a stitched die and is popped up using foam dots for dimension.  The sentiment is from Uniko Studio's All Occasion Sentiments #5. I hope you’ll stop by and leave the rest of the design team and this week’s guest designer a little blog love this week!  They create such awesome inspiration each week for the CASology challenges! 52a13-dt2bbadge   Don’t forget to link up your own clean and simple creation on the challenge blog by Monday at NOON (CDT) to be eligible to win the prize from Kitty Bee Designs!

CASology FRAME

week-216-frame It's Tuesday and time for a brand new CASology cue word!  This one is worthy of a frame! I used Puzzle Pieces, an older stamp set, from STAMPlorations to create this simple design. 2016-sept20-frame-wm I stamped three of the puzzle pieces in white ink on black cardstock before fussy cutting each one.  I popped each one up with a foam dot for dimension after stamping the sentiment in black.  I added a red, die cut heart to the lower puzzle piece and added a little shine with Crystal Effects.  The entire main panel was then popped up with foam dots for a white on white look. I hope you’ll stop by and leave the rest of the design team and this week’s guest designer a little blog love this week!  They create such awesome inspiration each week for the CASology challenges! CASology BARK

week-215-bark   It's Tuesday and time for a new cue word challenge over at CASology!  We've got a word with more than one interpretation again, so the gallery should be interesting! I went with the tree related definition, using an embossing folder to create texture. 2016-sept13-bark-wm Darkroom Door is our new sponsor this week and I used images from two of their stamp sets, Feathers and Brushed Sentiments.  I stamped the feather in SU's Soft Suede before embossing the main panel.  I stamped the sentiment in the same color and cut a banner shape to frame it.  Both the sentiment and main panel are popped up with foam dots for dimension.  Monochromatic color schemes work so well on clean and simple designs! I hope you’ll stop by and leave the rest of the design team and this week’s guest designer a little blog love this week!  They create such awesome inspiration each week for the CASology challenges! I hope you'll hop along with us!  So much fun and inspiration awaits!  Good luck! SaveContinue Reading...

On the Beach with CASology

Week 214 - Beach It's Tuesday and and time for a new cue word over at CASology!  We're going for warm and sunny this week!  September has arrived here in North America and I think we're all trying to silence the thought of winter's upcoming arrival.  The only thing between us and it now is autumn. I immediately thought of vacation.  Many people visit the beach, if possible, when choosing a vacation location.  There's nothing like sitting in the warm sun, digging in the sand and dipping your toes in the water as waves come crashing to shore! 2016 Sept6 BEACH WM I found my Simon Says Stamp OLD SCHOOL SUNGLASSES Wafer Dies and die cut the fun sunglasses out of some decorative paper from Clique Kit's Rio Kit.  I filled in the lenses with black glitter paper.  The main panel is die cut with Mama Elephant FEMME FRAMES Creative Cuts Steel Dies and popped up with foam dots.  Sunglasses and the beach just seemed to go together in my mind!  The sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink's Flipping Out set. I hope you’ll stop by and leave the rest of the design team and this week’s guest designer a little blog love this week!  They create such awesome inspiration each week for the CASology challenges! CASology FUN

Week 212 - Fun It’s Tuesday and time for a  new cue word over at CASology.  I personally can't wait to see what shows up in the challenge gallery! I figure smiles are typically a big part of anyone's fun, so I grabbed some Spellbinders emoticon dies I have in my stash and whipped up a clean and simple design. 2016 Aug23 FUN WM I used a trio of smiley faces with varying expressions, popping them up with foam dots.  I added a sentiment (Waffle Flower) in a simple font and called it good.  Super simple and I think it's super happy!  Who doesn't like a bright yellow smiley face?! I hope you’ll stop by and leave the rest of the design team and this week’s guest designer a little blog love this week!  They create such awesome inspiration each week for the CASology challenges!
