A Muse Studio July Collection New Release Day!

A Muse Studio July Collection New Release Day!
It's here!  The A Muse Studio July Collection is now available in the online store!  Beautiful blooms abound!  Just take a look at these... I created a monochromatic collage on the design above using the leaf sprig silhouette from the new Summer Blooms set using Grass, Evergreen and Mermaid inks.  The wonderful, bold sentiment was stamped in black ink on top of the collage.  I mounted the main panel on a piece of Onyx cardstock to frame it a bit and the used foam adhesive to attach the assembled piece to the Sugar cardstock base. 2017 JulyCollection Melissa7 closeup For my next card design, I used the new Banner Sentiments set & coordinating Be Brave dies to accent a couple other stamp sets in the store. 2017 JulyCollection Melissa6 blog The bloom was stamped on Hibiscus cardstock with Hibiscus pigment ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder to give it a little shine.  The Hexagon Background and bee (from the Bee Happy set) were stamped in black ink.  The sentiment (Bee Happy set) and banner (Banner Sentiments set) were also stamped in black and cut out using a Banner Die.  The flower, bee, and banner were all popped up with foam adhesive to add dimension to the design.  The assembled main panel was framed with a piece of Onyx cardstock before being popped up on the Sugar cardstock base with foam adhesive. 2017 JulyCollection Melissa6 closeup I used the flower from the new Dear Friend set to create my next card. 2017 JulyCollection Melissa4 blog The flower is stamped in Hibiscus ink and cut out using the coordinating die.  The leaves are stamped in Grass ink onto a stitched tag from the Tag Bundle Die Set.  Then sentiment and line of grass are both from the Be Brave stamp set.  The assembled tag is popped up on the Sugar cardstock base using foam adhesive for dimension. 2017 JulyCollection Melissa4 closeup Be sure and check out the A Muse Studio Instagram page as you can get this pretty Dear Friend set for FREE ($2 shipping, USA only) by following A Muse on Instagram, liking the giveaway photo and tagging two friends!  Easy as that! A Muse Studio June Sneak Peek, Day Two

A Muse Studio June Sneak Peek, Day Two
It's Day Two of the A Muse Studio June Collection Sneak Peeks! logo Today, I'm sharing a peek at the new Gnarly Birthday set! For this card, I embossed with clear embossing powder on Ocean cardstock using the Rolling Seas background stamp.  The panel was die cut with a stitched die from the Tag Bundle die set.  The stars, sentiment and narwhal whale were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I added a little sparkle to the stars using a white Wink of Stella brush marker.  The whale was cut out using the coordinating dies for this set and colored using a water brush and Ocean pigment ink.  I embossed the tusk with gold embossing powder. 2017 May Melissa3 closeup The finished main panel is mounted on the card base using foam adhesive. Tomorrow is the final day of sneak peeks with the new release happening Thursday!  I can't wait to show you more of this fantastic collection!

Have a terrific Tuesday!

A Muse Studio June Collection Sneak Peek!

A Muse Studio June Collection Sneak Peek!
Excitement is building over at A Muse Studio!  The June Collection is set to release this Thursday and three days of sneak peeks begin today!  Today, I'm sharing a little peek at the new Let's Be Mermaids set! logo I stamped the little mermaid in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then cut it out using the coordinating die.  I die cut a wavy line using a piece of Mermaid cardstock cut twice with one of the stitched landscape dies.  The die cut piece was attached directly to the Sugar cardstock base using liquid adhesive after stamping the simple sentiment.  The mermaid was colored using a water brush and Papaya, Mermaid and Ocean pigment inks.  Copic markers were used on the mermaid's skin.  Once the inks were dry, Diamond Embossing Powder was applied to the tail for a little sparkle and gold embossing powder was used on the crown.  The finished mermaid was attached to the die cut wavy line using foam adhesive for a little dimension. 2017 May Melissa5 closeup Stay tuned for more fun sneak peeks tomorrow and Wednesday! Sorry I've been so quiet lately.  May has proven to be full of special events and family time!  Summer is coming, after all, and it's a bit of a primer for the next three months when all the kids will be home enjoying summer break!  Rigid schedules will subside for a while and we'll start planning summer fun together!

Have a marvelous Monday!
