A Muse Studio Seahorses!

A Muse Studio Seahorses!
Happy weekend!  It's a holiday one here in the U.S! Today, I'm sharing some adorable seahorses from the A Muse Studio June Collection new release!  They're included in the fantastic Let's Be Mermaids set. I die cut a circle on the Sugar cardstock card front using one of the dies from the Pinking Circles Die Set.  The sentiment was stamped in black ink below the die cut circle.  The seahorses were stamped and colored with a water brush and Papaya pigment ink.  The heart was stamped in Poppy ink and then both the heart and seahorses were cut out using the coordinating dies for the stamp set.  The glitter background was created using Mermaid glitter on a separate piece of cardstock.  A piece of clear cardstock was attached to the back of the card front.  The seahorses and heart were attached to the glittered cardstock with foam adhesive and three clear sequins were added.  The assembled piece was then attached to the back of the card front to create a little scene behind the clear cardstock covering the circle window. 2017 May Melissa2 closeup I love glitter and this particular color makes me smile!

Have a happy Saturday!  I'll be back soon with even more June Collection inspiration!

A Muse Studio June Sneak Peek, Day Three

A Muse Studio June Sneak Peek, Day Three
It's the third and final day of sneak peeks for the A Muse Studio June Collection!  Be sure and head on over to the A Muse blog and leave a comment for your chance to win! Today, I'm sharing a punny clean & simple card with you.  I just love these seagulls and this card is super duper simple to make!  I simply stamped the birds with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Glitter White paper and then cut them out using the coordinating dies for this set.  The beaks were colored with an orange Copic marker.  I then popped up the birds with some foam adhesive for a little dimension and then stamped the sentiment in black ink. 2017 May Melissa1 closeup A little sparkle is always good in my book and this glitter paper is so easy to use on a card!  I can't wait to try it out on more designs soon! Get your wish list ready because tomorrow is the big day!  The entire new release will be available in the online store!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

A Muse Studio June Collection Sneak Peek!

A Muse Studio June Collection Sneak Peek!
Excitement is building over at A Muse Studio!  The June Collection is set to release this Thursday and three days of sneak peeks begin today!  Today, I'm sharing a little peek at the new Let's Be Mermaids set! logo I stamped the little mermaid in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then cut it out using the coordinating die.  I die cut a wavy line using a piece of Mermaid cardstock cut twice with one of the stitched landscape dies.  The die cut piece was attached directly to the Sugar cardstock base using liquid adhesive after stamping the simple sentiment.  The mermaid was colored using a water brush and Papaya, Mermaid and Ocean pigment inks.  Copic markers were used on the mermaid's skin.  Once the inks were dry, Diamond Embossing Powder was applied to the tail for a little sparkle and gold embossing powder was used on the crown.  The finished mermaid was attached to the die cut wavy line using foam adhesive for a little dimension. 2017 May Melissa5 closeup Stay tuned for more fun sneak peeks tomorrow and Wednesday! Sorry I've been so quiet lately.  May has proven to be full of special events and family time!  Summer is coming, after all, and it's a bit of a primer for the next three months when all the kids will be home enjoying summer break!  Rigid schedules will subside for a while and we'll start planning summer fun together!

Have a marvelous Monday!

CASology FLOW

CASology FLOW
It's Tuesday and time for a new cue word over at CASology!  We're going with the flow this week.  Altenew is our sponsor and I used their Let the Wind Carry You set to create my design.  It's such a sweet set! 2015 Altenew   Week 247 - Flow I stamped all images and the sentiment with VersaFine Black Ink.  The pinwheel was then stamped in Versamark Ink and embossed with Ranger Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder.  With that, I called it good!  A simple, one layer design! 2017 May2 FLOW closeup I hope you'll visit the design team and guest designer blogs when you have a chance!  They've put together some awesome inspiration this week!
