A Muse Studio November Sneak Peeks: Day 3!

A Muse Studio November Sneak Peeks: Day 3!
It's Day Three of the A Muse Studio November Sneak Peeks! Today, I'm sharing a one layer card which uses a combination of two of the new sets, Mini Messages and Mug Life.  The mug was stamped in black ink directly on the card base.  The heart image was stamped next in Sage ink.  I then stamped the little sentiment in black on top of the heart.  The design was done!  Talk about a super simple winter card! Now it's time to get your wish list finalized for tomorrow's new release!  Are you excited?!

Have a great Thursday!

A Blog Named Hero September One Layer Challenge

A Blog Named Hero September One Layer Challenge
It's time for a new challenge over at A Blog Named Hero!  This month, we're collaborating with CAS-ual Fridays and the theme is one-layer! I used the CAS-ual Fridays Full on Floral background stamp along with Hero Arts Luggage Tag Alpha to create this clean and simple design.  I masked an area on the card center and then stamped the background image in black ink.  The simple sentiment was stamped in black directly on top of the background image.  I then used Copic markers to selectively add a little pop of color. Being a clean and simple kind of gal, I just love one-layer cards!  This particular design could be easily modified by changing the sentiment or the colors! I hope you'll join us this month over at A Blog Named Hero!  We'd love to see your one-layer designs in our gallery and by linking up, you have a chance at winning the prize!

Have a marvelous Monday!

A Blog Named Hero’s 5th Anniversary Blog Hop Celebration!

A Blog Named Hero’s 5th Anniversary Blog Hop Celebration!
Have you heard?!  A Blog Named Hero is celebrating their 5 Year Anniversary today and tomorrow with a fabulous blog hop! 2017 Mar BlogHop Logo There have been so many wonderful companies who have sponsored the blog over the past 5 years and we wanted to give them a shout out as we celebrate this milestone, thanking them for their valued support over the past five years!  I have included the hop & prize details at the bottom of this post.  They can also be found over at A Blog Named Hero for easy reference and the full list of today's blog hop participants. As an A Blog Named Hero design team member, I created a card using some of Hero Arts' newest stamps!  I happen to love silhouette stamps and had to acquire the new Birthday Animal Silhouettes set as soon as I saw it!  So much fun!  I stamped the elephant in Soft Granite and the party hat in Crimson.  The little ball at the top of the party hat is a small accent pearl that I colored with a Copic marker!  I masked the water spray and used distress inks to add color.  The sentiment was stamped in black ink and then I added a touch of sparkle with a clear Wink of Stella brush marker. 2017 Mar BlogHopElephant Closeup

Hero Arts Koi Hello

Hero Arts Koi Hello
It's almost Friday and I've been working away in my craft room this week, trying to work ahead for a change! Today, I was in the mood for a one layer card!  Hero Arts' new Color Layering Koi set was just perfect for what I had in mind!  I layer stamped the fish in Soft Vanilla & Soft Granite inks, stamping the eyes with Carcoal ink.  I used a clean fonted sentiment from Hero Arts' Everyday Sayings, stamping it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  To finish off the design, I added some subtle sparkle to the fish using a Spectrum Noir Crystal Clear Sparkle marker. 2017 Mar9 KoiCloseup I hope your week has been decent!  A busy one here, but we're doing okay! CASology #80: Purple

It's time to think in color!  This week's cue word challenge over at CASology is PURPLE!  I wonder if you like this color?  My mother sure does and she was the inspiration for my card this time around!

Stamps:  Prickley Pear (Spring Scalloped Circles - sentiment)
I used an SU heart trio punch to create a mask for the hearts.  So simple!  I inked the three hearts in three different shades of purple, although, the smallest heart looks like more of a greyish purple to me!  Ah, well.  I found a simple sentiment to accompany the hearts and will send this card off to my mother this week!

Our sponsor this week is none other than the lovely Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and they'll be awarding the challenge winner with a variety of unmounted red rubber stamps from their store!  Be sure and visit the design team members' blogs as well as our guest designer's blog this week and then link up your own PURPLE creation by Sunday at 4:00 p.m. (CST)!

Another day of no school today due to the extreme cold!  We had an enjoyable day at home yesterday and today should be more of the same!  DD is turning 6 months old, so I should probably dig the camera out again and see if I can't get a few photos taken for the occasion!  All four kids humored me yesterday while I took a Valentine's Day photo of them.  I got some valentine photo cards ordered and now will impatiently wait for them!  Isn't that how it always goes?!

Have a terrific Tuesday!
