STAMPlorations Giving Thanks Blog Hop

STAMPlorations Giving Thanks Blog Hop
It's time for the third annual Giving Thanks Blog Hop & Wishlist Linky Party with STAMPlorations!  We're focusing on gratitude themed cards and using the STAMPlorations product line.  Full details can be found on the STAMPlorations blog. You should have arrived here from Deepti's blog! For my design, I used a STAMPlorations tag die for my sentiment focused design.  I started with some washi tape I had in my stash and adhered three lines of it to the lower portion of the card base.  I then die cut the tag using .  I then stamped the STAMPlorations Thy Goodness sentiment in black ink on a piece of kraft cardstock and popped it up on the tag using foam adhesive.  I applied a dot of gold Stickles to the sun in the upper right corner. I finished the design by popping up the assembled tag on the card base.  That's it!  A clean and simple gratitude of design! Now it's time to head on over to Carol's blog as you continue on the hop!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

A Muse Studio October Sneak Peeks: Day 3

A Muse Studio October Sneak Peeks: Day 3
Hello, everyone!  I'm back today during the third and final day of sneak peeks for the A Muse Studio October Release!  Tomorrow is release day!  Do you have your wish list finalized?! For today's card design, I used the new Peace Die in a clean and simple way to create a holiday card.  To begin, I die cut a stitched tag using a die from the Tag Bundle Die Set.  Next, I grabbed a piece of watercolor paper and spritzed a little water on an acrylic block, adding a Grass reinker to add color.  I squished the watercolor paper on top of the wet acrylic block and then allowed the paper to dry before die cutting the word with the Peace Die.  Once dry, a little sparkle was added with a clear Wink of Stella brush marker.  I die cut the word again near the bottom of the tag and then set the watercolor paper into the space.  I used the letter centers from the white tag to fill in the spaces in the centers of the letters.  To keep the die cut word flush with the tag, I simply attached it a little piece of cardstock to the back of the tag and glued the die cut pieces to that.  Finally, I stamped one of the cute little birds from the Season's Tweetings set, colored it with Copic markers and cut it out before popping it up with foam adhesive to add a little dimension. The assembled main panel was then adhered to the white card base using additional foam adhesive.  Another quick and easy holiday card design that could so easily be mass produced!  Be sure and head over to the A Muse Studio blog today to see even more inspiration from the design team and leave a comment!

A Muse Studio July Collection New Release Day!

A Muse Studio July Collection New Release Day!
It's here!  The A Muse Studio July Collection is now available in the online store!  Beautiful blooms abound!  Just take a look at these... I created a monochromatic collage on the design above using the leaf sprig silhouette from the new Summer Blooms set using Grass, Evergreen and Mermaid inks.  The wonderful, bold sentiment was stamped in black ink on top of the collage.  I mounted the main panel on a piece of Onyx cardstock to frame it a bit and the used foam adhesive to attach the assembled piece to the Sugar cardstock base. 2017 JulyCollection Melissa7 closeup For my next card design, I used the new Banner Sentiments set & coordinating Be Brave dies to accent a couple other stamp sets in the store. 2017 JulyCollection Melissa6 blog The bloom was stamped on Hibiscus cardstock with Hibiscus pigment ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder to give it a little shine.  The Hexagon Background and bee (from the Bee Happy set) were stamped in black ink.  The sentiment (Bee Happy set) and banner (Banner Sentiments set) were also stamped in black and cut out using a Banner Die.  The flower, bee, and banner were all popped up with foam adhesive to add dimension to the design.  The assembled main panel was framed with a piece of Onyx cardstock before being popped up on the Sugar cardstock base with foam adhesive. 2017 JulyCollection Melissa6 closeup I used the flower from the new Dear Friend set to create my next card. 2017 JulyCollection Melissa4 blog The flower is stamped in Hibiscus ink and cut out using the coordinating die.  The leaves are stamped in Grass ink onto a stitched tag from the Tag Bundle Die Set.  Then sentiment and line of grass are both from the Be Brave stamp set.  The assembled tag is popped up on the Sugar cardstock base using foam adhesive for dimension. 2017 JulyCollection Melissa4 closeup Be sure and check out the A Muse Studio Instagram page as you can get this pretty Dear Friend set for FREE ($2 shipping, USA only) by following A Muse on Instagram, liking the giveaway photo and tagging two friends!  Easy as that!
