A Muse Studio October Collection New Release!

A Muse Studio October Collection New Release!
Happy Monday!  I wonder if you've had time to check out the A Muse Studio new release yet?  If not, you'll want to go take a look at all the new things in the online store!  There's some fantastic winter/holiday themed goodness with this release! I thought I'd group a few card designs together for today's post to showcase some of the fun ways to use the little trees in the new release! For my first design, I used three different tree images stamped in the same Grass ink color and cut out with the coordinating dies.  I used a stitched rectangle die (Tag Bundle Die Set) to create the main panel and attached the trees to the main panel using foam adhesive.  The sentiment was stamped in black below the tree images.  The assembled main panel was then attached to the card base using more foam adhesive.   For my second design, I used the tree from the Season's Tweetings die set, cutting out a little tree from some Fern Felt. I glued this directly onto the main panel, which was die cut using a stitched rectangle die from the Tag Bundle Die Set.  The simple sentiment is from the Pining for You set and was stamped in black ink below the felt tree.  I then added three clear sequins to complete the design on the main panel.  The assembled main panel was then popped up on the Sugar cardstock base using foam adhesive. My final design combines the Pining for You and Season's Tweetings sets to create a winter themed card. I stamped the penguin in black Memento ink and added a touch of red with a Copic marker before cutting it out with a coordinating die.  A trio of overlapping trees was stamped on the card base and then the penguin was popped up on top of them using foam adhesive.  A simple sentiment was added in Versafine black ink and then three clear sequins were added as embellishments. So many cute critters and wonderful holiday images in this new release!  I'll be back with more October Collection inspiration this week, but for now, be sure and visit the A Muse Studio blog and Instagram page for more inspiration!

Honey Bee Stamps Happy Birthday

Honey Bee Stamps Happy Birthday
I'm back today to share a very simple happy birthday card design using a die cut and sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps! I die cut the word happy using one of the dies from the Happy Honey Cuts die set.  I then sponged a rainbow of inks on it and applied a shiny coating with some crystal glaze.  I die cut the main panel using one of the rectangle dies from the A2 Double Stitched Frames die set.  The supporting sentiment is from the Hooray stamp set and was stamped in black.  I glued the dried happy die cut to the main panel at an angle and then used three tiny star sequins from the Hollywood Mix for embellishments. 2017 Aug3 HappyCard closeup The assembled main panel was then popped up on the card base using foam adhesive for dimension. So simple and I love the shiny rainbow appearance of the main sentiment!  Sentiment focused designs can be very effective!

Have a wonderful Thursday!

A New Place to Stamp

My DH decided a few months ago that he wanted to give me a brighter, less claustrophobic place to stamp and scrapbook, so after some rearranging, this is what we were able to create. There are still some things that need to find a home other than the floor, but this new space makes me smile so big! Thanks, DH!!!Continue Reading...

Another Valentine…Finally!

After losing my stamping mojo for a week or more, I finally made myself sit down and stamp tonight! It was wonderful! This is a pretty simple valentine, but I like the end result. I'm starting to understand that I like simple cards! Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I really don't have a lot of time to spare these days! LOL! My supplies for this card:
SU Colors: Real Red, River Rock, Old Olive, Whisper White
SU Paper: Dashing DSP
SU Stamps: Love & Joy, Little Pieces
SU Accessories: silver brads, 3/4" circle punch, Crystal Effects, white gel pen, Stampin' DimensionalsContinue Reading...

First Picture Post!

Okay, today's the day! I'm going to post a picture of a card I made...finally! I'm an avid procrastinator, so this is "normal" for me...remember that, okay?! :)

I was doing one of the Splitcoast sketch challenges for this card and went out on a limb with my color combo. Never have I used these colors together, but that's just lil' ole me. There are probably those of you who have! I love this Wild About You set by Stampin'Up! It always brings a smile to my face and makes me feel like a kid again when I'm stamping with it! I'm thinking it would be cute for Valentines, just in different colors!

Absent No More

I don't know how many times a week I tell myself I'm going to get some stamping done! Seems like the month of November just slipped away from me and here it is December already! I finally found a reason to get back to my stamp room this week. I needed to make some very simple (a.k.a. "get 'em done fast!") thank you's for my son's birthday party. This is what I came up with:Stamps: Curious George stamp from a set at Target, SU sentiment
Cardstock: SU Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip, Green Galore
Ink: SU Chocolate Chip
Coloring: SU Watercolor pencils, blender pen
Accessories: Cuttlebug Embossing folders, SU Word Window & Circle punches

I'm hoping this will get me back to stamping! The first snow has arrived now, so that will keep me indoors at least!Continue Reading...

Time to start thinking about Valentines!

It's almost that time of year when I'll be eating chocolate without having to think of a valid excuse, so I've decided to shift into Valentine gear. First Valentine of this year for me was made using a Penny black image along with an SU background and an Inky Antics sentiment. Gotta love teddy bears! :)
