A Muse Studio Stitched Easter Eggs

A Muse Studio Stitched Easter Eggs
Happy Tuesday!  I'm back with an Easter card today using A Muse Studio's brand new Stitched Eggs Dies!  These dies are so full of possibilities! amusestudio.com For this card, I used a Vanilla cardstock base.  I used Splash inks to create a watercolored look on a piece of watercolor paper before die cutting the stitched eggs. 2017 MarchMelissa8 Closeup WM I then lined up the trio and adhered the individual eggs to the card base using foam adhesive to add a little dimension.  Vanilla twine was tied around one of the eggs to add a little interest to the design.  The sentiment is from the new Happy Spring set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink below the eggs.  I finished the card by adding a strip of the pretty new Slim Spring Duo Washi Tape near the bottom of the design. I can just see myself die cutting a pile of these beautiful stitched eggs!  There are six different sizes of eggs in the set, so lots of options for craft projects! I'll be back with another new release idea tomorrow, so be sure and stop back to grab some more inspiration!   2017 Signature  Continue Reading...

A Muse Studio New Release Washi Tape Inspiration

A Muse Studio New Release Washi Tape Inspiration
By now, you've probably seen all the new goodies over in the A Muse Studio online store!  I hope you've grabbed the things you want, but if you haven't, head on over and do so!  Your spring and Easter projects are waiting! Today, I thought I'd share a super simple card using the fantastic new Stitched Eggs Dies all dressed up with some of the new Spring Floral Washi Tape!  I covered some Sugar (white) cardstock with the washi tape before die cutting it using three different sized stitched eggs.  I layered these together on the main panel with foam adhesive.  The sentiment is from the Sweet Easter set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Little twinkle dots (rhinestones) were added to the eggs in green and orange.  The assembled main panel was attached to the card base using foam adhesive for dimension. 2017 MelissaMarch2 Closeup WM Such a simple, quick card to make and I love that it uses washi tape!  No fussing over coloring! Be sure and check out the rest of the design team blogs if you have time!  We're all sharing new release inspiration every day through next week, so you'll have lots of fun ideas to see! 2017 SignatureContinue Reading...

Washi Color

I've had some washi tape stashed away and I think every time I've walked into my craft room I've looked at it and wondered how in the world I am going to use it!

With this week's Clean & Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers, I finally found my opportunity!  We were to use a sketch and this is what I came up with:

I rotated the sketch and used washi tape to create some banners.  Bright and cheerful.  I may very well send this to school with one of my DS's for a teacher.

I promised I'd share the final draft of the baby shower invite I was working on last week, so here it is...

The original design just felt a bit off to me!  I played around with it a bit and decided not to fussy cut the crown, but used a circle frame to keep it from getting lost in the bold patterned strip.  I also changed the placement of the sentiment and crown.  I ended up happy with this redesign and all 42 invitations are now in the mail!

I hope you're having some decent weather wherever you are!  We dropped from 70 degrees over the weekend to the 30's today!  Not my idea of pleasant, but I don't think Mother Nature has comfort levels at the top of her priority list these days!

Have yourself a marvelous Monday!
