A Muse Studio May New Release: Sneak Peek 1

A Muse Studio May New Release: Sneak Peek 1
Are you ready for the May A Muse Studio new release coming this Friday?  We're pretty excited and three days of sneak peeks begin today! logo For today, I thought I'd share a card I made with the new Vintage Florals.  This set is absolutely beautiful and it's perfect for creating Mother's Day cards! I used Winter Sky and Navy pigment inks on watercolor paper to create the look on the background panel, adding water to the inks and blending with a watercolor brush.  The flower is inked with Habanero pigment ink, lightly spritzed with water and then stamped on the watercolor background. 2017 AprilMelissa9 closeup The finished panel was popped up on a Vanilla cardstock base using foam adhesive.  The pretty sentiment is from the Aren't You Sweet set which is an existing set in the online store.  It was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Vanilla cardstock.  I trimmed the cardstock into a banner shape and popped it up with foam adhesive over the main panel. Mother's Day is right around the corner now and it's easy to create simple cards using combinations of stamp sets as I did here! Stay tuned for another sneak peek tomorrow!  Three fantastic stamp sets will be released together on Friday and you're going to love them!  Be sure and leave a comment on the A Muse blog each day for your chance to win one of these sets!   2017 SignatureContinue Reading...

A Muse Studio Stitched Easter Eggs

A Muse Studio Stitched Easter Eggs
Happy Tuesday!  I'm back with an Easter card today using A Muse Studio's brand new Stitched Eggs Dies!  These dies are so full of possibilities! amusestudio.com For this card, I used a Vanilla cardstock base.  I used Splash inks to create a watercolored look on a piece of watercolor paper before die cutting the stitched eggs. 2017 MarchMelissa8 Closeup WM I then lined up the trio and adhered the individual eggs to the card base using foam adhesive to add a little dimension.  Vanilla twine was tied around one of the eggs to add a little interest to the design.  The sentiment is from the new Happy Spring set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink below the eggs.  I finished the card by adding a strip of the pretty new Slim Spring Duo Washi Tape near the bottom of the design. I can just see myself die cutting a pile of these beautiful stitched eggs!  There are six different sizes of eggs in the set, so lots of options for craft projects! I'll be back with another new release idea tomorrow, so be sure and stop back to grab some more inspiration!   2017 Signature  Continue Reading...

A Muse Studio Sneak Peek: Day 3
Today is the third and final day of sneak peeks for A Muse Studio's upcoming new release!  That means tomorrow is release day!  Doing a little happy dance, are you?! For today's sneak peek, I chose to create a watercolored design using one of the adorable bunnies in the new release along with the awesome new stitched egg die cuts! 2017 MarchMelissa3 Closeup WM I used a mixture of the fantastic Splash Inks to watercolor the eggs and main panel (using watercolor paper).  These sprays are so fun to use and, as you can see, can be used in other ways than the obvious!  I stamped the adorable bunny in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Vanilla cardstock before cutting it out and adhering it to the main panel with foam adhesive.  I attached the main panel to the card base using foam adhesive to add a little more dimension. It's time to get your wish list started if you haven't already!  Tomorrow's the big day!  While you're at it, go ahead and follow A Muse on Instagram and like their page on Facebook to keep updated on current events and the future new releases!
