Summer Sweetness

Is it really Friday already?  Summer is up to its usual tricks with time.  We stocked up on fresh fruit yesterday since it’s all so good this time of year!  I even purchased some sweet cherries since they are on sale right now!  DH planted a sweet cherry tree for me late this spring, but it will be a few years before we can enjoy the fruit.

I started coloring a sweet digital image of Crissy Armstrong’s from Whimsy yesterday and finished it up in time to post it here, before the weekend arrives!  Be sure you check in on her DT call, if you’re interested, as it ends this weekend!  Also, if you’re in “need” of some cute digital stamps, make sure you go look at Whimsy Stamps before July 31st as they are all on sale right now!

Supplies:
Stamps – Whimsy (digital Gracie’s Roses, by Crissy Armstrong, SU (Well Scripted, sentiment)
Paper – SU Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla CS, DCWV DP (Old World), SU DP (Newsprint)
Ink – SU Bravo Burgandy
Accessories – colored pearls, Sheer Shimmer Spritz, paper butterfly, sponge, SU ribbon, circle punch, Nestabilities (circle, scalloped circle), foam squares, distressing tool
Coloring – Copic markers

I lightly sprayed Gracie’s dress with the shimmer spritz to give it a bit of texture and sparkle.  I also added some to the butterfly.   I distressed the edges of the sentiment circle and the colored decorative paper.

I am entering this in Crissy’s DT call as well as her monthly challenge (July:  de-stressing).
