Sweet Stamp Shop Valentines

It’s time for another installment of the Picture Perfect photography series over on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog!  This week, backgrounds & props for your card photos are the subject and you will want to go take a look at the difference these simple additions can make!

I used this card to demonstrate different backgrounds and photo props:

Stamps:  Sweet Stamp Shop (Yummy Love, Monogram It – eye glasses)

I stamped the apple and colored it with Copic markers.  The glasses were stamped and fussy cut with Crystal Effects applied to the lenses for a little shine (which can’t be seen in this photo)!  This particular card is going to a teacher, so I wanted to be sure and give the apple a more intellectual look!

I created another valentine for today using the same Yummy Love set, this time using the cute little strawberry!

Stamps:  Sweet Stamp Shop (Yummy Love)

I stamped the strawberry and colored it with Copic markers.  Some red Stickles were applied to the little heart and the entire main panel was popped up with foam dots for dimension.

This stamp set is such a cute one and I’m planning on making more valentines with it, so stay tuned!  If you’re thinking you may want need it, here’s a coupon code to use for 10% off in the storeMSD10!  (Yes, I’m enabling a few people today.)  Also, be sure and Like Sweet Stamp Shop on Facebook so you don’t miss out on future news and discounts!  Oh, and did I mention they are having a design team call right now?!  If you’re wanting to be a part of a fantastic team with a wonderful leader who will teach you a few things, go apply by February 1st!

I’m off to enjoy a day with all four kids home!  It’s bitterly cold with dangerous windchills here again, so school has been cancelled for the day.  We made a library run over the weekend just in case this would happen, so we are all set!  DS1 is busy making fresh, homemade bread, DS2 is cleaning and organizing a bookshelf for me, DS3 is buzzing around supervising everyone and DD is doing her job too…taking her morning nap!  So far, so good!  An afternoon of fun is soon to happen!

Enjoy your Monday!

Melissa, it is such a treat to stop by your blog…your cards are perfectly CAS and adorable, and your photos are always impeccable! (I'm beginning to think that Blogger is doing something to my pictures, because when I edit them before I upload they look so nice and bright, then in Blogger they look gray!) Anyway, your cards are fab! I hope you all stay safe and warm on this bitter cold day…enjoy family time, it sounds like you all have good plans!
