Sympathy Cards

I find myself procrastinating when it comes to making sympathy cards.  I don’t really know why other than that perhaps it’s because I never feel like I’m really going to be able to offer the recipient/s the comfort they need.  I have two sympathy cards I need to put in the mail this week, so I was thankful to come across the perfect card to CASE over at Splitcoast Stamper’s in Willow01‘s gallery, this week’s Featured Stamper.
This is the card I CASE’d and here is my version of it:

Supplies:
Stamps – Penny Black (Fantasy), Paper Trey (sentiment from Scattered Showers set)
Paper – SU Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, Very Vanilla cardstocks
Ink – SU Chocolate Chip
Accessories – ivory satin ribbon, SU vintage brads, ticket corner punch, modern label punch, oval punch, sponge (around Very Vanilla piece)

I love your card and I think it is a perfect sympathy card. I have always stressed over my sympathy cards – do they look appropriate and will the words help? – but somewhere along the way I realized that they really don't help right away. Nothing helps. It's later, when the acceptance stage is reached, that the outpouring of love is recognized and appreciated. And your sympathy card will be treasured simply because YOU sent it!
