CASology SHARP

CASology SHARP
It's Tuesday and time for a new cue word over at CASology!  The gallery this week should end up looking rather sharp... This word has more than one definition, thanks to the English language.  My thoughts took me to pencils and school.  DS1 has loved to sharpen pencils since he was in kindergarten!  At our house, we don't have to worry about dull pencils setting around.  Now that he's older, he does like the mechanical ones, but still can't resist sharpening those "old fashioned" yellow pencils if given the opportunity!  I couldn't resist putting a yellow pencil on my card design for this week. I stamped both the pencil and mouse images (Neat & Tangled) with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored them with Copic markers.  I stamped the "teacher" onto the pencil.  The longer sentiment was stamped in Versafine black ink directly on a piece of grid decorative paper (A Muse Studio) that I'd die cut into a stitched rectangle (A Muse Studio). The pencil and mouse were then popped upon the main panel with foam adhesive. Once assembled, the main panel was popped up on the white cardstock base using more foam adhesive.  With the school year now in full swing, this card will most likely find a recipient soon! I hope you'll take some time to visit the design team members' blogs this week if you have the time!  They've been working so hard each week to create inspiration for the challenges!

A Muse Studio November Sneak Peeks: Day 3!
It's Day Three of the A Muse Studio November Sneak Peeks! Today, I'm sharing a one layer card which uses a combination of two of the new sets, Mini Messages and Mug Life.  The mug was stamped in black ink directly on the card base.  The heart image was stamped next in Sage ink.  I then stamped the little sentiment in black on top of the heart.  The design was done!  Talk about a super simple winter card! Now it's time to get your wish list finalized for tomorrow's new release!  Are you excited?!

A Muse Studio November Sneak Peeks: Day 2!

A Muse Studio November Sneak Peeks: Day 2!
It's time for another sneak peek of the A Muse Studio November Collection! Today, I am showcasing a set called Holiday Trimmings!  I decided to do a non-traditional look with this one.  Chalkboard, anyone?! I brushed some white ink on Onyx Cardstock to create the chalkboard look after cutting a stitched main panel with a die from the Tag Bundle Die Set.  The pine images, snowflakes and sentiment (Wishing You the Merriest set) were then stamped in white ink.  I added some clear Twinkles as embellishments and then popped up the finished main panel with foam adhesive for dimension. One more sneak peek tomorrow and then Friday is the big release day!  Get that wish list started!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

A Muse Studio November Sneak Peeks: Day 1!

A Muse Studio November Sneak Peeks: Day 1!
The A Muse Studio November Collection Sneak Peeks are beginning today and the new release is scheduled to go live in the online store this Friday!  You're going to love this new collection!  Promise. For my sneak peek today, I'm sharing a design using the new Mug Life set.  I stamped the mug image on a piece of Cherry Herringbone decorative paper with black ink and then used the coordinating die to cut it out.  I stamped SANTA on the mug to reserve it for the jolly guy.  I place a piece of Red Dot Mesh Washi Tape (part of the upcoming new release) across the Sugar Cardstock card base and then stamped the small sentiment below it in black.  The cookies were created using Toffee Cardstock and a 1-inch circle punch.  I stamped a snowflake on each one and then used a Silver Wink of Stella Brush Marker to add a little frosting sparkle.  The mug and cookies were then popped up along the washi tape with foam adhesive for dimension. Stay tuned for more sneak peeks tomorrow and Thursday!  Prepare to be amazed.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

A Muse Studio October Collection New Release!

A Muse Studio October Collection New Release!
Happy Monday!  I wonder if you've had time to check out the A Muse Studio new release yet?  If not, you'll want to go take a look at all the new things in the online store!  There's some fantastic winter/holiday themed goodness with this release! I thought I'd group a few card designs together for today's post to showcase some of the fun ways to use the little trees in the new release! For my first design, I used three different tree images stamped in the same Grass ink color and cut out with the coordinating dies.  I used a stitched rectangle die (Tag Bundle Die Set) to create the main panel and attached the trees to the main panel using foam adhesive.  The sentiment was stamped in black below the tree images.  The assembled main panel was then attached to the card base using more foam adhesive.   For my second design, I used the tree from the Season's Tweetings die set, cutting out a little tree from some Fern Felt. I glued this directly onto the main panel, which was die cut using a stitched rectangle die from the Tag Bundle Die Set.  The simple sentiment is from the Pining for You set and was stamped in black ink below the felt tree.  I then added three clear sequins to complete the design on the main panel.  The assembled main panel was then popped up on the Sugar cardstock base using foam adhesive. My final design combines the Pining for You and Season's Tweetings sets to create a winter themed card. I stamped the penguin in black Memento ink and added a touch of red with a Copic marker before cutting it out with a coordinating die.  A trio of overlapping trees was stamped on the card base and then the penguin was popped up on top of them using foam adhesive.  A simple sentiment was added in Versafine black ink and then three clear sequins were added as embellishments. So many cute critters and wonderful holiday images in this new release!  I'll be back with more October Collection inspiration this week, but for now, be sure and visit the A Muse Studio blog and Instagram page for more inspiration!

A Muse Studio October Sneak Peeks: Day 3

A Muse Studio October Sneak Peeks: Day 3
Hello, everyone!  I'm back today during the third and final day of sneak peeks for the A Muse Studio October Release!  Tomorrow is release day!  Do you have your wish list finalized?! For today's card design, I used the new Peace Die in a clean and simple way to create a holiday card.  To begin, I die cut a stitched tag using a die from the Tag Bundle Die Set.  Next, I grabbed a piece of watercolor paper and spritzed a little water on an acrylic block, adding a Grass reinker to add color.  I squished the watercolor paper on top of the wet acrylic block and then allowed the paper to dry before die cutting the word with the Peace Die.  Once dry, a little sparkle was added with a clear Wink of Stella brush marker.  I die cut the word again near the bottom of the tag and then set the watercolor paper into the space.  I used the letter centers from the white tag to fill in the spaces in the centers of the letters.  To keep the die cut word flush with the tag, I simply attached it a little piece of cardstock to the back of the tag and glued the die cut pieces to that.  Finally, I stamped one of the cute little birds from the Season's Tweetings set, colored it with Copic markers and cut it out before popping it up with foam adhesive to add a little dimension. The assembled main panel was then adhered to the white card base using additional foam adhesive.  Another quick and easy holiday card design that could so easily be mass produced!  Be sure and head over to the A Muse Studio blog today to see even more inspiration from the design team and leave a comment!

A Muse Studio October Sneak Peeks: Day 2

A Muse Studio October Sneak Peeks: Day 2
It's mid-week and time for another A Muse Studio sneak peek for the upcoming October Collection!  Today, we're showing a few creations using the Pining for You set that will be released on Friday!  I combined the set with the Season's Tweetings set (yesterday's sneak peek) for this design.  Giveaways are happening on the A Muse Studio blog, so be sure and visit and comment for your chance to win this week! To begin, the main panel was die cue with the stitched rectangle in the Tag Bundle die set.  I stamped the little starry window & pretty sentiment using black ink, double stamping with my Misty to make it nice and dark.  I then stamped the little house in green ink and cut it out before popping it up with foam adhesive.  I then added three clear twinkles as embellishments before popping up the finished main panel on the card base with foam adhesive. Holiday cards have never been easier!  No coloring involved in this design and easy assembly is key during the busy time of year!  You could change the color of the house simply by using a different color ink and the sentiment could also be changed! I hope this has inspired you today!  Tomorrow we'll be showcasing sneak peeks of a new die that's on the new release list, so stay tuned!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

A Muse Studio October Sneak Peeks: Day 1

A Muse Studio October Sneak Peeks: Day 1
It's time for exciting sneak peeks over at A Muse Studio!  The October Collection is set to release this Friday and we're sharing little glimpses of winter/holiday goodness in the days leading up to that day! Today, I'm sharing a peek at a set called Season's Tweetings.  It's a fun set with some rather adorable winter critters and wonderful sentiments.  I used the polar bear for this design as well as a background stamp called Snowy Days.  The simple sentiment is from another of the new release sets that I'll be showcasing more tomorrow.  I used a stitched die from the Tag Bundle set to create the main panel, stamping the snowy background & sentiment in black ink.  The bear was stamped in Memento Tuxedo black ink before it was selectively colored with a red Copic marker.  The bear was cut out and popped up with a piece of foam adhesive. The assembled main panel was then popped up on the white card base using more foam adhesive.  This was such a simple card to make and is just perfect for all those upcoming winter wishes that need to be sent out!  With all the sentiments being released this week, you could very easily change the theme of the card! Stay tuned for more wonderful new release images and sentiments this week!  You're going to love this release!

Have a terrific Tuesday!

A Muse Studio September Sneak Peek, Day 3

A Muse Studio September Sneak Peek, Day 3
It's the final day of the September Collection sneak peeks over at A Muse Studio!  That means tomorrow is Release Day!  Are you excited?! Today, we're featuring the Eat, Drink & Be Thankful set.  I decided to create a simple tag to highlight the wonderful, large sentiment included in this set.  The tag was created using the tag die that is included in the Tag Bundle die set.  I stamped the pretty sentiment in French Roast ink and then added two little orange twinkle stickers and Vanilla twine as embellishments. So simple, but I am envisioning this little tag being put to use for Thanksgiving festivities! Head on over to the A Muse blog and be sure to leave a comment on the sneak peek posts for your chance to win!  Then, get that wish list ready for tomorrow!  Happy shopping!  I'll be back with more new release inspiration, so be sure and stop by here on my blog over the next few days!

A Muse Studio September Sneak Peek, Day 2

A Muse Studio September Sneak Peek, Day 2
It's Day Two of Sneak Peeks for the A Muse Studio September Collection!  Today, we're featuring the Fierce stamp set, once that's full of encouraging words in beautiful fonts! I used the fantastic Pinking Circles dies to frame the sentiment, overlapping two pieces to reveal a little pop of pink behind the top white layer.  The pumpkin was stamped directly on pink cardstock and cut out before being popped up with foam adhesive.  I added a little heart in pink ink, embossing with clear embossing powder to add a little shine. I just love the pretty fonts in this set and I think you'll agree once you see all the unique sentiments included in it this Friday!  Stop back tomorrow for a sneak peak of the third stamp set releasing Friday.  You won't be disappointed!

A Muse Studio September Sneak Peek, Day 1

A Muse Studio September Sneak Peek, Day 1
It's release week over at A Muse Studio!  The September Collection will become available this Friday and we're sharing three days of sneak peeks to gear up for release day! Today, I'm sharing a peek at the new Hello Pumpkin set!  Using a monochromatic color scheme, I used gold embossing powder & star sequins to add a little interest and shine to the design. I stamped each pumpkin in black ink and cut them out.  The gold embossing powder was applied to the spots on one and then I popped up the trio of pumpkins using foam adhesive.  The sentiment was added in black and three gold star sequins were used as embellishments. I love black and gold together and those spots on the pumpkins were just crying out for a little gold accenting!  Stay tuned for another sneak peek tomorrow of a brand new sentiment set.  You'll love it, especially with October right around the corner!

Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday!

CASology BUD

CASology BUD
It's Tuesday and time for a brand new cue word again over at CASology! Kitty Bee Designs is returning as our sponsor and many of the design team are using images from the online store! I used the adorable Bamboo Plant Panda digital image to create my clean & simple design.  I had a leftover frame from a past project that I'd used Distress Oxide inks on and used it to frame my main image and sentiment, gluing it directly onto the main panel.  The panda was colored with Copic markers and a little sparkle was added to the heart with a clear Wink of Stella brush marker.  The simple sentiment is from an A Muse Studio set and is stamped in black.  I added the period with a fine tipped black marker.  The panda was popped up with foam adhesive as was the assembled main panel. I hope you'll take some time to visit the design team member blogs as well as our guest designer's blog!  They've created some wonderful inspiration and would love to hear from you!
