CASology COMMENCEMENT

CASology COMMENCEMENT
It's time for a new cue word over at CASology!  With all the graduations going on this month, we thought we'd provide a gallery of inspiration for the occasion this week! Week 248 - Commencement I used a stitched die cut from Mama Elephant's Femme Frames to create the hat base, cutting it to fit on the card base at an angle.  I stamped the letters from A Muse Studio's Rino Alphabet in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, following the edge of the hat.  I punched a 3/4-inch circle, cut it in half and heat embossed it with Ranger Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder.  I popped it up on the hat with foam adhesive.  The assembled hat was then popped up on the card base using foam adhesive. We have two graduations to attend this year.  Both are kids that were just three years old when we moved to the area!  Time really does fly!  Our own children are living proof of that and whenever I attend graduations, I find myself reminded again just how quickly children grow up.  And how fast life itself goes by.  Every day counts. Have a terrific Tuesday!Continue Reading...

A Muse Studio Time to Party

A Muse Studio Time to Party
I'm back with more A Muse Studio May new release inspiration!  This time, with a cute card using the fun Time to Party set! logo I stamped the bunny in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die cut it using the coordinating dies for the stamp set.  I die cut a strip of grass using the Grass Die and Grass cardstock.  I decided to add a trio of flowers using some Cherry Blossom Sequins.  After adhering the grass and sequins to the main panel, I stamped the simple, punny sentiment and attached the bunny above it using foam adhesive to make it look like the bunny is happily hopping along!  The finished main panel was then attached to the Sugar cardstock base using additional foam adhesive. 2017 AprilMelissa4 closeup I love how happy this little bunny is!  All the critters in this set make me smile!  It's such a fun set! Stop back tomorrow as I'll be sharing another design using one of the other critters!  Continue Reading...

I decided to create a one-layer design this time.  I masked off the area where I wanted to place the sentiment and splattered the rest of the kraft card base with white ink that had been diluted with water.  Once the ink was dry, I stamped the coffee cup, sentiments and heart in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I used a red distress crayon to color the heart, adding a touch of water with a watercolor brush. 2017 Mar31 CoffeeHop Closeup I hope you've had time to join in the blog hop fun this spring!  It's always a fun hop and there is so much inspiration!  Thank you again, Amy, for putting together another fantastic hop! A Muse Studio Chicks

A Muse Studio Chicks

A Muse Studio New Release Easter Wreath

A Muse Studio New Release Easter Wreath
Happy Wednesday!  We've made it to mid-week and now there are just two days until the weekend!  April 1st is just three days away!  Can you believe that?! I'm back today with some A Muse Studio new release Easter inspiration!  I combined stamp sets to create a little Easter wreath design.  I used the leaf sprig from the Tiptoe Through the Tulips set with the little polka dot eggs from the new Sweet Easter set to put together a simple circle. 2017 MarchMelissa4 Closeup WM The wreath was stamped in Grass ink first and then I stamped the eggs using Orange, Bermuda and Lemon Whip inks.  I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink in the center of the wreath.  The eggs were cut out and then attached to the card base using foam adhesive.  That's it!  I used a 5x5 Sugar cardstock base this time as I felt the shape better suited the circular wreath. I wonder if any of you have received product from the new release yet?  What did you pick?  I can't wait to see what you create!  Go ahead and leave me a link in the comments when you post something using the new release and I'll come take a peek!   2017 SignatureContinue Reading...

A Muse Studio Stitched Easter Eggs
Happy Tuesday!  I'm back with an Easter card today using A Muse Studio's brand new Stitched Eggs Dies!  These dies are so full of possibilities! amusestudio.com For this card, I used a Vanilla cardstock base.  I used Splash inks to create a watercolored look on a piece of watercolor paper before die cutting the stitched eggs. 2017 MarchMelissa8 Closeup WM I then lined up the trio and adhered the individual eggs to the card base using foam adhesive to add a little dimension.  Vanilla twine was tied around one of the eggs to add a little interest to the design.  The sentiment is from the new Happy Spring set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink below the eggs.  I finished the card by adding a strip of the pretty new Slim Spring Duo Washi Tape near the bottom of the design. I can just see myself die cutting a pile of these beautiful stitched eggs!  There are six different sizes of eggs in the set, so lots of options for craft projects!
