A Muse Studio New Release Easter Wreath

A Muse Studio New Release Easter Wreath
Happy Wednesday!  We've made it to mid-week and now there are just two days until the weekend!  April 1st is just three days away!  Can you believe that?! I'm back today with some A Muse Studio new release Easter inspiration!  I combined stamp sets to create a little Easter wreath design.  I used the leaf sprig from the Tiptoe Through the Tulips set with the little polka dot eggs from the new Sweet Easter set to put together a simple circle. 2017 MarchMelissa4 Closeup WM The wreath was stamped in Grass ink first and then I stamped the eggs using Orange, Bermuda and Lemon Whip inks.  I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink in the center of the wreath.  The eggs were cut out and then attached to the card base using foam adhesive.  That's it!  I used a 5x5 Sugar cardstock base this time as I felt the shape better suited the circular wreath. I wonder if any of you have received product from the new release yet?  What did you pick?  I can't wait to see what you create!  Go ahead and leave me a link in the comments when you post something using the new release and I'll come take a peek!   2017 SignatureContinue Reading...

A Muse Studio Stitched Easter Eggs

A Muse Studio Stitched Easter Eggs
Happy Tuesday!  I'm back with an Easter card today using A Muse Studio's brand new Stitched Eggs Dies!  These dies are so full of possibilities! amusestudio.com For this card, I used a Vanilla cardstock base.  I used Splash inks to create a watercolored look on a piece of watercolor paper before die cutting the stitched eggs. 2017 MarchMelissa8 Closeup WM I then lined up the trio and adhered the individual eggs to the card base using foam adhesive to add a little dimension.  Vanilla twine was tied around one of the eggs to add a little interest to the design.  The sentiment is from the new Happy Spring set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink below the eggs.  I finished the card by adding a strip of the pretty new Slim Spring Duo Washi Tape near the bottom of the design. I can just see myself die cutting a pile of these beautiful stitched eggs!  There are six different sizes of eggs in the set, so lots of options for craft projects! I'll be back with another new release idea tomorrow, so be sure and stop back to grab some more inspiration!   2017 Signature  Continue Reading...

A Muse Studio New Release Spring Chicks

A Muse Studio New Release Spring Chicks
Happy Monday!  I'm back with even more A Muse Studio inspiration today as a design team member and, this time, I'm using some of the adorable chicks included in the two new stamp sets!  I used the larger chick from the Happy Spring set and added two of the little chicks from the Sweet Easter set to create a trio of cuteness.  I simply stamped the chicks and then colored them using a little Neon Yellow Splash ink and a small Aqua Brush to lightly apply the color.  Then sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the one-layer design was done!  A quick design that can be used for a quick note or a spring/Easter occasion! amusestudio.com Be sure and check out all A Muse Studio has to offer!  The new release is so fun and perfect for spring/Easter projects you may be brainstorming! It's another cloudy day here today.  I tend to miss the sun after several days of gray overhead, but at least we have milder temperatures now and going outdoors is a bit more pleasant.   2017 SignatureContinue Reading...

A Muse Studio: Combining New & Older Stamps!

A Muse Studio: Combining New & Older Stamps!
Happy first day of the week!  I'm back with more inspiration using more of the brand new A Muse Studio new release!  This time I combined images from a new set with one from an older set! The little chick is from a previously released set called Tiptoe Through the Tulips and coordinates so nicely with the newest sets!  I just couldn't resist combining them on a card!  The grass and leaf sprig are from the new Sweet Easter set.  I used Grass and Orange inks for these.  I colored the grass and flower centers (Neon Yellow ink) by simply dipping a watercolor brush in the ink and gently applying it to the images. The chick was stamped twice in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, once directly on the card base and again onto the new Bermuda Petite Gingham cardstock. 2017 MarchMelissa5 Closeup WM The gingham image was cut out and adhered to the image on the card base. The beak was colored with a Copic marker.  I stamped the sweet little sentiment on a rectangular piece of Sugar cardstock and attached it to the card base using foam adhesive for dimension.  To finish off the design, I freehanded some little bird footprints with a black marker. I have had so much fun with this new release and can't wait to share more inspiration tomorrow!  I hope you're having a good weekend! Have a relaxing Sunday! 2017 Signature SaveContinue Reading...

A Muse Studio New Release Day!
The day is finally here!  The A Muse Studio new release is now available! I have to say, my favorite from the release has to be the new Bunny Candy Package!  There are so many possibilities for this!  I dressed mine up with the pretty new cardstocks, googly eyes and a little pearl sticker for a tail!  Inside, I put a Hershey's Chocolate Nugget which is the perfect rectangular shape and size.  The nose and mouth are selectively stamped from the bunny in the (new release) Happy Spring set. 2017 MarchMelissa10 Closeup2 WM I also made a little treat bag to go with these cute critters using the little Lunch Sack Die.  I embellished it with a die cut Stitched Egg (new release ) and delicate, mini die cut flower and added a little Bermuda pearl sticker to the flower center.  The egg is watercolored using Splash Color Spray. 2017 MarchMelissa10 Closefup WM The simple sentiment is from the (new release) Sweet Easter set & is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I filled it with green crinkle paper grass and additional treats. I hope this gives you some ideas for simple spring/Easter gift ideas!  I'm thinking teachers and classmates might just need a few of these in a variety of colors and patterns!  I may even try adding some of the adorable Bunny Bums (cotton tails) that are available in the store to the back of the bunnies!  So cute! Today is the third and final day of sneak peeks for A Muse Studio's upcoming new release!  That means tomorrow is release day!  Doing a little happy dance, are you?! For today's sneak peek, I chose to create a watercolored design using one of the adorable bunnies in the new release along with the awesome new stitched egg die cuts! 2017 MarchMelissa3 Closeup WM I used a mixture of the fantastic Splash Inks to watercolor the eggs and main panel (using watercolor paper).  These sprays are so fun to use and, as you can see, can be used in other ways than the obvious!  I stamped the adorable bunny in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Vanilla cardstock before cutting it out and adhering it to the main panel with foam adhesive.  I attached the main panel to the card base using foam adhesive to add a little more dimension. A Muse Studio Design Team Blog Badge Melissa Chipperfield   I've had A Muse Studio stamps in my stash for a few years now and to celebrate the exciting news, I used one of my favorite stamp sets, Squeeze the Day.  I watercolored the yellow splash and added a touch of sparkle to it using a Spectrum Clear Sparkle pen.  I stamped and fussy cut the lemon before coloring it with watercolor and adding shine with Crystal Effects.  The lemon image is popped up with foam dots for dimension.  I stamped the pretty sentiment in black ink.  The main panel is framed with black cardstock and popped up with foam dots.  I just love a bright, cheerful card and this particular set is perfect for the job! CASology LANDMARK

CASology LANDMARK
It's Tuesday and time for a brand new cue word to put us back into brainstorming mode!  Like to travel?  This week's gallery will probably offer some sightseeing opportunities!  More the type who likes home and would rather sit back and enjoy life's events?  The gallery will most likely provide inspiration for those too! Week 239 - Landmark I went with a landmark I've never seen in person, but would love to some day, Big Ben!  I'd love to travel to England and see a few other things too! I used two A Muse stamp sets, British Invasion & Clever Girls (retired).  I stamped Big Ben and the trio of birds in black ink directly onto the card base.  I then die cut two hills (Landscape dies) using Grass cardstock.  The simple sentiment was stamped in black ink directly onto one of the die cut pieces.  The die cuts were then attached to the main panel using foam dots for dimension.  The assembled main panel was then attached to the card base using more foam dots.  I thought about adding embellishments, but my minimalist tendencies took over and I left things alone. You'll want to visit the design team members' and guest designer's blogs this week and see where they took the cue word! DT Badge

A Muse Just a Note

A Muse Just a Note
Happy Monday!  It's a sunny one here and a welcome warm up is on the way!  It's so strange not having any snow on the ground mid-February! I dug out my neglected kraft cardstock last week to create a quick "just a note" card.  It seems like I go in cycles with kraft card stock.  Some weeks, it's all I use.  Other times, I go months without even thinking about it! I've been exploring my stash of stamps a little more lately and discovering I have some oldies, but goodies, hidden away!  This older stamp set from A Muse Studio caught my eye and I thought it would be perfect with kraft cardstock!  I stamped the flowers in StampinUp!'s Soft Suede ink and then stamped the birds in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The little birds were fussy cut and sparkle added with a Crafter's Companion Clear Overlay Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen before being popped up with foam dots for dimension. I love how quickly this design came together!  I often need a simple card for general correspondence and this will be perfect!

Have a marvelous Monday & don't forget tomorrow is Valentine's Day!
