STAMPlorations Giving Thanks Blog Hop

STAMPlorations Giving Thanks Blog Hop
It's time for the third annual Giving Thanks Blog Hop & Wishlist Linky Party with STAMPlorations!  We're focusing on gratitude themed cards and using the STAMPlorations product line.  Full details can be found on the STAMPlorations blog. You should have arrived here from Deepti's blog! For my design, I used a STAMPlorations tag die for my sentiment focused design.  I started with some washi tape I had in my stash and adhered three lines of it to the lower portion of the card base.  I then die cut the tag using .  I then stamped the STAMPlorations Thy Goodness sentiment in black ink on a piece of kraft cardstock and popped it up on the tag using foam adhesive.  I applied a dot of gold Stickles to the sun in the upper right corner. I finished the design by popping up the assembled tag on the card base.  That's it!  A clean and simple gratitude of design! Now it's time to head on over to Carol's blog as you continue on the hop!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

CASology DIAMOND

CASology DIAMOND
It's time for a new cue word over at CASology!  This week's gallery will be filled with diamonds.  Sounds great, no?! Week 258 - Diamond I thought about this one for a while before settling on a kite image that I found in my stash.  I happen to love kites.  They make me feel like a kid all over again every time I get the opportunity to fly one.  That is, until I run around for a while and notice I'm not quite as spry as I used to be! I started this design by watercoloring two overlapping, shimmery clouds with pearlescent watercolors on a die cut stitched panel (A Muse Studio Tag Bundle dies) of watercolor paper using a Clouds stencil by STAMPlorations.  The kite is from a retired StampinUp! set called Send Me Soaring.  The string was stamped in black ink and then the kite was stamped in red ink before being fussy cut and popped up with foam adhesive.  The sentiment (from Honey Bee Stamps' Message in a Bottle set) was stamped in black ink and three silver star sequins were added as embellishments.  The finished main panel was popped up on the card base using foam adhesive for dimension.  I added just a touch of sparkle to the kite using a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Pen. 2017 July18 DIAMOND closeup I hope you'll take a little time and visit the blogs of the design team members as well as our guest designer!  They'd love to hear from you! CASology GROWth

CASology GROWth
It's time for a new cue word over at CASology and we're focusing on growth this week!  Spring is definitely emerging in the landscape now and DS1 actually mowed the grass last week for the first time this year!  Things are growing! Week 245 - Grow I chose to combine two sets from STAMPlorations to create this simple design (All You Need is Coffee & Literary Caffeine-ations).  I masked the steam using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink.  The cup was stamped, fussy cut and paper pieced with decorative paper from my stash.  It was then popped up over the steam using foam adhesive.  I stamped the funny sentiment in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and added three brown gemstones to the mug.  That's it! I hope you'll visit the design team member and guest designer blogs and leave them a little blog love when you have a little time this week!  They've done such a great job providing inspiration this week! CASology MELT

CASology MELT
It's Tuesday and time for a new cue word over at CASology!  This week, we're going for a little melting action in the gallery to celebrate the arrival of spring on the calendar! Week 241 - Melt My thoughts turned toward things that tend to make your heart melt.  For me, it's hugs from little ones!  I simply watercolored the main panel and added a little shimmer with a Heidi Swapp Color Shine spritz before adding a simple die cut sentiment (STAMPlorations Hugs Word Die).  The sentiment was adhered to the main panel using foam adhesive to add a little dimension.  The layered main panel was also adhered to the card base with foam dots. 2017 Mar21 MELT Closeup   I hope you'll join in the fun this week and go leave some blog love on the design team members' blogs!  They've created some fantastic inspiration again this week! A CASology CUT

A CASology CUT
It's Tuesday and a new cue word is up for brainstorming over at CASology!  We're going with a small word, but it has many interpretations you could go with!  With STAMPlorations as our sponsor this week, the design team used many of the word die cuts found in the online store to create their CAS designs! I'd chosen the word "Hugs" and used it to create a valentine type card.  I used a pale aqua blue along with pops of red for the main color scheme.  The clouds were stenciled with STAMPlorations' Clouds ARTplorations stencil and white ink.  I stamped a red heart balloon from the Balloons and Banners stamp set, fussy cutting it and dressing it up with red glitter.  It was then adhered to the main panel using foam dots. 2017 Jan17 CUT peek The "hugs" was die cut with the Hugs Word Die polka dot paper using polka dot decorative paper and adhered directly to the main panel.  The assembled main panel was then adhered to the card base using foam dots for dimension. I hope you'll take a little time to visit the design team members' and guest designer's blogs and leave a little blog love this week!  I know they'd love to hear from you!

Today is the day!  The Giving Thanks Blog Hop is beginning over at STAMPlorations!  There are 38 designers participating, 15 being from various challenge blogs and blog events that STAMPlorations has had the privilege of sponsoring over the last year and a half.  As the creator of CASology, I was asked to be a part of this fantastic hop.  Of course, I said, "Yes!"  I want to be sure and say THANK YOU! to Shery for all her faithful support of CASology!  We are so grateful for you! There are prizes to be won by commenting on the participating designers blogs, plus additional prizes up for grabs by joining in the linky party (see below)!  Prize details can be found on the STAMPlorations blogCommenting ends November 30 at 11:55 p.m. Pacific and the link up is open until November 30. Winners will be announced on December 9 in the November Challenges and Hops winners post on the STAMPlorations blog. Winners have until December 20 to claim their prize. I created a clean and simple design for the hop using the new Be Thankful set and coordinating dies!  You can purchase these as a bundle in the store! 2016-nov-bethankfulbundle-image This is such a heartwarming set!  I especially love the stitched details on the die cut sentiment! 2016-nov16-givethankshop-wm Since I'm a CAS kind of gal &, at this stage in my life, have little time to sit and color in detail, I did some selective watercoloring on the main image and love how it turned out!  The die cut sentiment is stamped with indigo colored ink (StampinUp!), one of my favorite colors, and popped up with foam dots!  The main panel is a stitched die cut rectangle and is popped up with foam dots for a little dimension. Below is the link up containing all participating designers.  Remember, by playing along, you become eligible for additional prizes! CASology FRAME

week-216-frame It's Tuesday and time for a brand new CASology cue word!  This one is worthy of a frame! I used Puzzle Pieces, an older stamp set, from STAMPlorations to create this simple design. 2016-sept20-frame-wm I stamped three of the puzzle pieces in white ink on black cardstock before fussy cutting each one.  I popped each one up with a foam dot for dimension after stamping the sentiment in black.  I added a red, die cut heart to the lower puzzle piece and added a little shine with Crystal Effects.  The entire main panel was then popped up with foam dots for a white on white look. I hope you’ll stop by and leave the rest of the design team and this week’s guest designer a little blog love this week!  They create such awesome inspiration each week for the CASology challenges! DREAMing of CASology

Week 211 - Dream It's Tuesday and time for a  new cue word over at CASology.  This week, we're focusing on dreams!  Don't worry, we're only asking for those that interpret into clean and simple design! I used the Trendy Butterflies stamp set from STAMPlorations, our wonderful sponsor this week to create a super simple diagonal design! 2016 Aug16 DREAM WM I stamped a diagonal line of five (an odd number) yellow butterflies to create a little movement and interest for the eye.  The two piece sentiment was added in black.  A trio of small, clear sequins was added as simple embellishments.  I used a clear Wink of Stella brush marker to add a little sparkle to the butterflies.  To me dreams and passion go together and that's where I went with my interpretation! I hope you'll stop by and leave the rest of the design team and this week's guest designer a little blog love this week!  They create such awesome inspiration each week for the CASology challenges!
