A Masculine Monday

Welcome to a new week!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  DH and I spent Saturday doing house projects in between entertaining the three boys!  Our main project was redoing the pantry and it feels so good to have that pretty well done!  Whew!  When your kitchen floor and island is full of the contents of your pantry, it feels like you’ll never finish the project!  I’m so glad we pulled it off because Sunday morning, we had 20-some people coming!  Isn’t that the way it goes, though?!  I still have a little rearranging to do, but I had to get my sleep, so didn’t concern myself too much with the fine details.  Sometimes you have to use a space for a while before you know how to arrange things in an efficient manner, anyway!  I’ll show you the before and after following today’s card.  I know I love seeing those kinds of photos!

First, it’s time to share a Prickley Pear creation!  I made a masculine card for today with two of the newest stamps from the store!  I love it when I happen to create a masculine card because it’s not something that comes easily for me!

Stamps:  Prickley Pear (Best Dad sentiment, Vintage Cars)

I added a little decorative paper to the lower portion to dress it up a little, used a masculine image and went easy on embellishments, coloring three clear gemstones with a Copic marker to create the color I needed.  This will be either a birthday card or for next year’s Father’s Day!
Okay, on to those pictures I promised:
Before:
The shelves were just too deep!  We frequently found ourselves digging in the back for things and were getting frustrated not being able to see anything very well!  Our method of organization with this was to throw things in!
We decided we wanted shorter shelves and more of them!
After:
Much better!  I keep opening the pantry doors to look at this!  I’m so thankful for a DH who has a knack for this kind of thing!  All the measuring and cutting is not my cup of tea!
Now off to make some muffins!  The boys have been asking for more blueberry ones and what a good way to start the week!
Have a memorable Monday!
