A Spoonful of Sugar

I had a little crafting time last week and made a few cards for posts ahead of time as I knew this week would be a busy one for me with extended family!

Valentine’s Day is beginning to take over my creative mind as the new year approaches!  I came across Concord & 9th’s Let’s Chat set and used it along with some small images from the Birdie Banners set to create this simple valentine themed design.

The circle was stamped first in gray ink and then the pretty sentiment was stamped on top.  The spoon was stamped and fussy cut before being popped up with foam dots.  A little sparkle was added to the spoon using a Wink of Stella brush marker.  The little heart was stamped, fussy cut and then popped up with foam dots.  I added subtle grains of sugar coming from the spoon using the little dots image from the Birdie Banners set.

I hope you had a very happy weekend!  Onward to the new year!  I’m reflecting on 2016 and trying to make some resolutions for the new year ahead.  Little ones, though, because it’s the little things that make the big things happen!
