It’s all about fun and games this week at CASology!

I don’t know about you, but I don’t have just one favorite game!  I love to sit and play Scrabble, Yahtzee, Uno, Skip-bo, Rummikub, Life…I guess I really have too many to sit here and list them.  Many of them I grew fond of in my childhood because Sunday nights my brothers and I would sit down with Mom, freshly popped popcorn in our bowls, and play until our stomachs hurt from laughter.  Dad didn’t care to play unless it was a one-on-one game of chess or checkers.  He did teach me a few tricks when it comes to those two games, but I’m not telling them.
For my card this week, I chose to use a set from Fresh Squeezed Stamps because I’m growing rather fond of their unique stamps and, well, because they are graciously sponsoring CASology this week and offering some of their fun stamp sets as prizes to both the winner of the challenge as well as a random participant!

Stamps:  Fresh Squeezed (Games People Play set)
I used some red and white washi tape as a border on the lower edge of the card and then punched a little heart from some of the same tape that I’d adhered to a piece of cardstock.  I fussy cut the queen game piece image and then glued it onto the card because I wanted it to overlap the striped border just a little.  I popped up the punched heart and stamped the simple sentiment.  At the last minute, I decided to round the lower corners.  A very simple valentine!

There is even more inspiration for this week’s challenge on the rest of the design team member blogs and this week’s guest designer’s blog, so be sure and stop by to see what they came up with!

Be sure and join in the fun and link up your own creation on the challenge blog by Sunday at 4 p.m. (CST)!  We hope to see you there!
I’m already getting behind with my posting this week despite some newfound mojo and good intentions!  We ended up having some overnight guests come yesterday and they’ll be with us until tomorrow or Thursday.  Thankfully, the house was pretty much in order from the weekend!  Love it when things work out that way!

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Oh I used to love Yahtzee and Life!! Haven't played either in years but have lots of fond memories of them. Love the way you used the washi tape here and the rounded corners are perfect!

Melissa, this is the definition of CAS! The sentiment goes perfectly with your image, and the red stripes add that pop of color that makes it just perfect! I never learned how to play chess (well), but I love all the other games you mentioned! We try to have “game night” (not electronic!) with the kids so they have some nice memories like yours when they grow up!
