CASology SPICE
Need a little spice in your life? Come play along with us over at CASology as we wrap up our SPICE challenge!
Pumpkin spice everything usually welcomes the autumn season. Though I’m not a fan, I do like making coffee themed cards that go along with the flavor of the season. Autumn often brings a renewed desire to sit and chat with loved ones. I hope to meet up with my own dear mother for an outdoor chat this week after not seeing her for several months due to the pandemic. The weather is turning cooler and I just had to do something to get us together in a way other than Zoom meetings before it’s not feasible to meet up outdoors anymore. I wish I’d acted on the notion a lot sooner, but life got away over the summer months of emotional angst over school decisions.
I created a simple, one-layer coffee themed design for the challenge. Autumn and spice make me think of warm tones and I reached for kraft cardstock as a base. I dug out an older Concord & 9th coffee themed set. The coffee cup image was stamped off the edge in orange ink and colored using a little water, the same orange ink and a fine brush. The latte colored center was stamped and the foam heart image was stamped in white ink. The sentiment was stamped in black ink. A little sparkle was added to the cup with a clear glitter brush marker and the design was complete! Now to pair this with a little chocolate and send it off to someone’s mailbox.
You have until Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. (CDT) to link up your clean & simple design to the CASology blog for your chance to win the prize from our sponsor, Your Next Stamp.
Happy Stamping!
