Beautiful Blooms

It’s Tuesday and that means it’s time for a new cue word challenge over at CASology!

It appears spring is finally here (and maybe even scooting over for summer to take over)!  With it, the trees are greening up nicely and a visit to the local arboretum reveals plenty of flowers are blooming!

I chose to take the cue word literally and used a bright bloom on my mostly white card.  I added a little texture with an impression plate.  Then, I used a “hello” die to cut out the bold sentiment.  I added some polka dot decorative paper behind it.  The flower’s center was popped up after adding some clear Stickles for shine.  The embossed panel and flower are both popped up with foam dots.  The card corners were rounded to finish things.

Stamps:  SU
Paper:  Paper Trey cardstock (white), SU cardstock (Daffodil Delight), SU decorative paper
Ink:  SU (Pumpkin Pie)
Accessories:  Paper Trey die, SU punches (circle, scalloped circle), corner rounder, clear Stickles, foam dots, Paper Trey impression plate

Be sure and take some time to visit the rest of the design team members’ blogs as well as this week’s guest designer’s blog!  There are lots of bright, cheerful cards this week to inspire you!  Then, don’t forget to link up your own BLOOM’in image on the CASology blog by Sunday at 4:00 p.m. (CDT)!

Today is bound to be a wonderful day here on the home front!  The kitchen painting is as good as done!  I just need to put outlet covers back on and clean a little!  Always such a good feeling to have a fresh coat of paint on things and life once again returning to the daily routines!

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Oh, Melissa, what a happy card! I love the yellow and white combination…just like a daisy! So glad the kitchen paint job is done, too…I agree, there is nothing like a fresh coat of paint to freshen up a room!

Glad normality is returning, Melissa. There is nothing like a fresh coat of paint, especially in the kitchen! Your bloom card is stunning and bright and happy with that polka dot hello! Magical!! Thanks for sharing that stunning photo, too. The flower center is mesmerizing!!

Love this sunny card! And I can not believe all the painting going on at your house. When I was pregnant, (and with only one other child to look after!), I was a princess and did as little as possible!
