A Blog Named Hero July Floral Challenge
It’s time to begin a brand new monthly challenge them over at A Blog Named Hero! This month our theme is Florals and our sponsor is Winnie & Walter!
Have you seen all the pretty floral images over at the Winnie & Walter online store?! I chose to use the The Big, the Bold and Extras set along a large sentiment from their The Big, the Bold and the Happy set to create this design. I paired them with a simple patterned image from the Hero Arts Busy As A set, layering the elements.
Using Hero Arts Butter Bar ink, I inked up the image and spritzed it very lightly with water before stamping it on white cardstock. This gave the image a lightly mottled look. I then stamped the outline of the flower in black before die cutting it with the coordinating dies. Next, I stamped the honeycomb designed line from the Hero Arts set directly on the card base with black ink and stamped the leaf silhouettes on the left edge before popping the flower up with foam adhesive. The bold sentiment was stamped directly on on top of the honeycomb patterned link in black ink. To finish the design, I applied some sparkle with a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Glitter Brush pen.
I hope you’ll join us this month for our Floral theme! Such a perfect one for this time of year and I happen to personally love yellow and orange roses! I might just have to recreate this design in orange!
Supplies used on this design can be found in Winnie & Walter’s online store (stamp sets) as well as at the links found below:
