A Blog Named Hero May Challenge
It’s time for the May challenge over at A Blog Named Hero! This month, Honey Bee Stamps is our sponsor and the theme is watercoloring! How fun is that?!
I used the Hero Arts Stamp & Cuts Dress Up Stamp And Die Set and stamped the girl & legs images in black ink before coloring with Copic Markers. I die cut the skirt in watercolor paper and then watercolored it with pearlescent watercolors for shimmer. The puppy was stamped with black ink also and colored with Copics. I created the spot on its eye by using my Copic blender pen. I drew a leash with a fine black marker. The sentiment was stamped at a diagonal with black ink and little flower and clear sequins were added as embellishments. The main panel was die cut with a stitched rectangle die to dress it up a bit and then popped up on the card base with foam adhesive. I also added a little sparkle to the girl’s hair band and necklace with a Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Overlay brush marker.
I just love how you can pair Honey Bee & Hero Arts stamps together to created fun designs! This girl and puppy just seem to go together!
Come join us for our May watercoloring challenge this month! You have several weeks to play, so go for it!
