Brightening Up
Today is another gray sky day. After a few in a row, one begins to think the sun is off playing hooky! It’s probably down in a warmer place where there is no snow. I don’t blame it. I’m tapping my foot impatiently for spring to arrive and that doesn’t seem to be helping. I’m not sure what to try next.
Today’s Way’s to Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers helped a little today! The challenge was to use GREY (Yes, there are two different spellings for this one word!) as a neutral color. I immediately thought of using yellow with it because, after all, yellow brightens up anything, right?! 🙂
Supplies:
Stamps – Stampendous
Ink – SU Basic Gray
Paper – SU Basic Gray, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight cardstocks
Accessories – Nestabilities, gemstone, SU Basic Black marker (dots on ribbon), Tim Holtz Sizzix embossing folder, SU Daffodil Delight taffeta ribbon, foam squares
**I rotated the same size Nestabilities die three different times to create the look behind the sentiment. I also sponged Basic Gray on the edges of the yellow embossed cardstock.
In other news, we spent the morning at the doctor’s office. We went in for the usual well child check up and ended up staying for an x-ray on the littlest guy’s hips just to make sure his hip joints are okay. We had this subject come up shortly after he was born and they said they pretty much ruled anything out with two ultrasounds, but the doctor wanted to do a follow up x-ray now that the bone is dense enough to see on x-ray. Best to catch any possible issues early! Crossing my fingers the results are normal again! The good ole waiting game…

Very sunny! I love it!
Perfectly put together, love that embossing folder and your sentiment!
