Cards for Becky
Now and then we all find ourselves suffering right along with family and friends near and dear to us. Right now, my heart is feeling for a co-worker of mine who is battling stage IV metastatic breast cancer. She was diagnosed in September of last year and has been fighting courageously ever since. You can read a bit about her story here.
I am learning a few things from her experience, one of which is that for those diagnosed with metastatic (Stage IV) breast cancer, the pink ribbon doesn’t represent them very well. Metavivor is a non-profit organization that funds research for stage IV mestastatic breast cancer. One hundred percent of donations they receive go to fund metastatic breast cancer research and they provide support for those living with it!
This organization can use your support. Becky could too right now. If you’d like to send her a card of encouragement, please send it to the following address:

She could use some positive mail right now and I know my fellow card makers know how to brighten a mailbox! I want to express my heartfelt appreciation in advance for anyone who reaches out. Your kindness will touch a life and make a difference.
With gratitude,

Let us all join hands in prayer. God does wonders I will post a card to her this week. I am also being tested from last year and next week i am scheduled to undergo a needle biopsy. I fought for one and a half years with my husband who was battling a liver cancer. So i know what it is to be a loved one who is helpless and has to watch it.Believe me it is a nightmare. Incidently today is our 32nd wedding anniversary. Now i have learnt to deal with his loss and lookafter my daughter and Grand Daughter who are in new Zealand. Blessings to your hime from mine
Dear Surekha,
Thank you so much for your kind words and taking the time to share your own story. Your words are so true…it is hard to stand beside and watch. We can pray and trust God to do His perfect work, even when we don’t understand. I wish you strength and courage in the days ahead as you push forward. Much love to you and yours!
