CASology #116
I went with the obvious…
This word reminded me of the fly swatting activity in our house with the cooler days arriving. What is it about this time of year that makes a fly so desperate to get inside? They must know their days are numbered. Unfortunately, the fly stamp images I have did not inspire me much, so I shook off the thought (and I’m sure you’re very relieved) and moved on to Halloween. I sponged an area of orange ink and then stenciled over it with black ink. I then spritzed over everything with a bit of gold spritz. This added a little shimmer and shine. I used a simple sentiment and called it good.

Love this!!! So fun!
Funnily enough I considered a squashed spider for my card (inspired by a Garfield comic). Great minds eh? I love the direction you ended up going in though. That gorgeous, glittery splatter is awesome and the black mat really makes it pop!
Melissa laughing so hard as splatting those fly that desperately want in is a game in my house. My kids both swat them in the air! I do love what you did instead. Such beautiful technique!
Pretty card Melissa, love the shimmer!
This is so pretty.
Great idea to create splatter and the tiny sentiment is perfect in this design x
Love this design!! Such a perfect challenge!!
Love the Halloween splatter – and not a fly in sight 🙂
Ewwww….fly spatter! I like the Halloween theme much better!
Ha, Melissa, I also thought of “fly swatter” splatter but couldn't imagine to whom I would send such a card…I LOVE your sparkly Halloween card!
Very cool, I still see your message, though prettily presented!!!!
