I almost skipped participating in this week’s challenge and it wasn’t for lack of ideas, but rather, a lack of energy.  I ended up catching a bug DS2 brought home from school the end of last week!  Ugh.  Thankfully, it wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been, but still knocked me onto the couch for a good 1.5 days!

This week’s CASology cue word made me think of windows and how I’d love to be able to throw open my windows for some fresh air, but given the frigid temperatures we have in January, that’s not an option.  Oh, how I love the warmer months when I can open the windows and breathe in outdoor goodness!

With Valentine’s Day up next, my brain has been slowly turning toward love themed cards and this one is my first of the season!  I love Memory Box dies and this one is a favorite!

Stamps:  Precious Remembrance Shop
Dies:  Memory Box (Resting Birds, Small Madison Window)

Be sure and go say a quick hello to the design team members & this week’s guest designer!  They work so hard each week to create inspiration!

Then, don’t forget to link up your own creation on the challenge blog by Monday at NOON (CST) for your chance to win a prize from this week’s sponsor, Craft Classes Online!

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Melissa

Oh man, I'm sorry you were down and out. Ugh. No matter the temp, I often open the bedroom windows when I'm making the bed!! Just gives a nice airing out from the night!

Viruses….yuk! So sorry you were laid low with one. I don't miss that part of my children's lives for sure!! I've loved this window die, and after seeing your card, I'm kicking myself for not ordering it months and months ago. Love the little bluebird and the sweet red heart. Spring is coming…soon I hope! Bev

Hello Melissa: So sorry you have been feeling sick, this bugs come out of nowhere and sometimes, hit you like a ton of bricks, I hope you will be on your feet very soon.
Now, your card is beautiful, love the little blue bird and the fabulous pop of color of the red heart. Love that die, it's so pretty.
    Thank you for sharing.
    Hugs,
    Maria Rodriguez.

That little bird is so sweet, Melissa, and I love the placement of the sentiment.
Sorry you've been sick but hopefully you're feeling back to your old self now. I am totally with you about the windows – I am grateful that we can have them open almost year round. Fresh air does wonders for the soul. 🙂

Your open window design is brilliant, Melissa! I'm glad to hear that you booted that bug out of your system in only 1.5 days! There is carp going around here lasting 1.5 WEEKS!! Hugs, Darnell

Oh, you poor thing! Didn't realise you had been sick! This is so serene and contemplative. Absolutely love it and your colour choices. Ironically, there are many days at the moment where we have to keep the windows closed the keep the heat OUT! Living at opposite ends of the globe! Such is life!
