CASology #98: SHINE
It’s time to let your CAS design skills shine over at CASology this week! We’re fast approaching the 100th challenge mark and we’re getting pretty excited!
“Shine” reminded me of warm sunshine, so I went with it, using an abundance of yellow!
Stamps: Sweet Stamp Shop (sentiment) Dies: Taylored Expressions, Memory Box (birds) |
I cute the sun rays piece with the Ray of Sunshine cutting plate from Taylored Expressions. I then glued the entire piece to the yellow card base. I happened to have some silver (SU Brushed Silver cardstock) die cut birds leftover from a baby shower project and used three of them on this design. I decided to use a simple sentiment.
Do you notice how the lines from the sun and the placement of the birds and sentiment guide your eyes around the card? Use of clean lines helps the main elements stand out on a CAS design more easily.

What a bright and cheery card! Since it's been raining and gloomy around these parts, your sunshine really put a smile on my face. Love those sweet birds.
Clever idea for shine Melissa, sun shine didn't even occur to me and I love the die cut for the sun beams.
Beautiful rays of sunshine all over your card, of course 😀 Fabulous idea, love this card 😀 Gay x
Melissa, I love how the perfect placement of all your sweet elements direct your eyes on the card…perfect in every way!
