CASology Blossoms
It’s time again for a brand new cue word challenge over at CASology! After a week of what felt like tropical weather for this part of the country, we’re ready for some blossoming in the landscape around here! I’m pretty sure we’re going to be waiting a bit longer for that to happen, however.
I went with watercolors…
I wanted to portray a flower blossom, but not so sure I pulled it off. I don’t claim to be any kind of watercolor artist, but I tried! This is more likely abstract art! I added a little sparkle to the flower “center” and a single gemstone to the sentiment. I love that sentiment and like to pair it with flowers on other cards too. It’s from Prickley Pear’s Hibiscus 2 clear set.
The rest of the design team and this week’s guest designer would love to hear from you, so go ahead and bop on over to their blogs!

Claude would think you pulled it off… and so do I!

Gorgeous background Melissa!
Your pretty watercolors really pop on the black card base!!
So lovely, love the soft watercolor!!!
A very beautiful piece of abstract art.
This is really beautiful–so artsy! It really does look like a cluse up abstract of a flower. Love that you always do something just a bit different. It is a great source of inspiration.
I love the simplicity of this card Melissa. Great design.. 🙂
I agree with Michele – this has a very Monet feel about it! I love artsy and abstract, and I think you did pull it off! The sparkly 'centre' is a really lovely touch! That sentiment is beautiful too.
Gorgeous! I thought of Monet, too…lovely watercolor, abstract feel to it!
Hey Melissa!! I love your interpretation of the cue card. I want to get back to thinking outside the box again. Your watercoloring is amazing.
