CASology CROSS
It’s Tuesday and time for a new cue word over at CASology!
With Easter coming up this weekend, this word might be just the inspiration you need to get those Easter projects done! For me, I went with something a little outside the box. Treasure maps came to mind simply because our two youngest children have a thing for treasure these days. You know, those plastic beaded necklaces in all different colors, gold coins, etc! A couple years ago, DS3 dressed as a pirate for Halloween. The rest is history. The kids still play with the treasure box, filling it will all sorts of trinkets and treasure! Probably one of the best purchases I’ve made at Hobby Lobby over the years!
I kept the card design extremely simple. At first, I was going to use all cream colored cardstock, but ended up feeling like the little map didn’t stand out as much as I wanted it to. The map was made with a little piece of randomly torn cream cardstock. I drew the little red “x” and dashed path with markers before crumpling the paper to make it look worn. The main panel was die cut using a stitched rectangle die and then the map was adhered using foam adhesive for dimension. The sentiment is from a pirate themed stamp set and is stamped in black ink. The assembled main panel was then attached to the card base using foam adhesive.
You’ll want to check out what the CASology design team and guest designer created for this challenge! Plenty of variation in train of thought this week!
Be sure and link up your own clean & simple design in the CASology gallery by Monday at 9:00 a.m. (CDT)!
Have a terrific Tuesday!
