CASology EDUCATION
It’s Tuesday and time for a new cue word challenge over at CASology!
With school back in session for most people, education is our focus this week! I went back to early childhood in my mind, remembering learning my abc’s and that classic alphabet song that children still sing today! DD loves to paint at school and started painting the letters of her name last week!
I couldn’t resist using another on over Love Cynthia’s adorable little girl stamp sets to create this design! These images remind me so much of my daughter and I plan to give this card to one of her teachers when the opportunity arises during the school year!
I stamped the little girl in black ink, colored it with Copic markers and fussy cut it. The stitched main panel is a rectangle die from Honey Bee Stamps. I lined up the three letters on my acrylic block and added to a different color ink to each one before stamping them. The c smudged a bit and gave me the idea to smudge them all a little using a water brush! I then added a little splattered ink using the same water brush. What 4-year-old ever paints perfectly, anyway?! After the ink was dry, I added a touch of sparkle with a clear overlay Spectrum Noir brush pen.
The main panel was then attached to the card base using foam adhesive for dimension. The little girl was also attached to the card base with foam adhesive, overlapping the main panel and lined up so it looks like she is busy painting the letter a.
I hope you’ll visit the design team member’s on their blogs this week and leave them a little blog love! They’ve created some wonderful inspiration again this week!
Then, be sure and link up your own EDUCATION entry on the challenge blog by Monday at NOON (CDT)!
Have a terrific Tuesday!
