CASology GRATITUDE
October is here and over on the CASology blog, we’re starting the month off with a good dose of gratitude!
Gratitude is such a simple thing, but often goes unsaid. In this crazy, busy world I want to be more intentional about expressing a little gratitude even for the smallest of things. Sometimes a simple, “Thank you!” with a smile can make someone’s day and make them feel appreciated.
My design this week is extremely clean and simple, but that’s how I like my cards. The more CAS, the better! A simple stitched main panel and a sentiment with a mix of simple fonts started the design. I used a small leaf image as the focal point. It was stamped in brown, colored using a blender pen and then spritzed with a little gold spray to give it some subtle shimmer. I gently crinkled the leaf a bit with my fingers, hoping to give it a few creases just like real fall leaves have! Once dry, the leaf was fussy cut and popped up on the main panel with foam adhesive to give it a little dimension. I intentionally positioned the leaf to the left just a bit to add some interest for the eye. I prefer a design that’s a little unbalanced (…perhaps because I’m a little that way myself?!). The assembled main panel was then popped up on the card base with more foam adhesive.
Have you visited the design team members’ blogs lately to give them a little hello? Maybe this week we can all hop around to their blogs as well as the guest designers’ blogs and leave a little thank you for the weekly inspiration they provide!
Don’t forget to link up your own GRATITUDE creation on the CASology blog by Monday at 9:00 a.m. (CDT) for your chance to win!
Have a terrific Tuesday!

Beautifully CAS. I love how your leaf looks ruffled. For lack of a better word. You have it dimension.
This is simply perfect, Melissa!
