CASology HEAL
It’s time for a brand new cue word over at CASology! This week, we resume our one-week challenges after those busy summer months, so don’t forget to get your cards made on time!
Today is September 11th and, for many, that date is a very significant one. One we’ll never forget. I still remember where I was that day when the news reached me for the first time. After that, it felt like the entire day and several days beyond were utterly consumed with thinking about the tragedy! Time often heals what reason can not. Remembering today all those who gave their lives that day.
When thinking about this word, my thoughts went toward creating a sympathy card design. So often in this life, we find ourselves in need of these as we support our friends and family in sorrow and loss. It’s a part of life, but something that certainly isn’t easy.
I selected a floral image from a My Sentiments Exactly set in my stash and stamped it three times in gray ink along the left side of a die cut cardstock panel. The scripted sentiment from Hampton Art was then stamped in black ink. The finished panel was popped up on the card base using foam adhesive to add a little dimension to the overall design.
Be sure and take a look at the cards the design team members created for this challenge! So many great ideas!
Be sure and link up your own HEAL creation on the CASology blog by this coming Monday, September 17, at 9:00 a.m. (CDT) for your chance to win and guest with us for an upcoming challenge!
Have a terrific Tuesday!

Gorgeous card, Melissa! So elegant!
Beautiful blooms in soft gray, and I love the font on your sentiment, Melissa! Your CAS design is perfect for a sympathy card, too…I love it!
Such a lovely tribute to our memories of 9/11. Living only 30 minutes from NYC, I am reminded of our losses every day, and also our strength to carry on ~
Thank you again for asking me to be your GD for this week’s challenge!
