CASology JOURNEY
It’s Tuesday and time for a brand new CASology cue word! We’re traveling around a bit this week as we continue our clean & simple journey! I chose to use stamps from Rubber Dance Stamps, our sponsor.
Oddly enough, The Flight of the Bumblebee came to mind when I first saw the cue word! That served as my inspiration. The bee was stamped and fussy cut before being colored with Copic markers. Crystal Effects was added to the wings and a little sparkle was added to the bee’s body using a clear Wink of Stella brush marker. I used a honeycomb die cut on top of the card base to create a little texture without taking over the white space. The we was then popped up on the design with foam dots. The sentiment (from the Artist Plate stamp set) was stamped and cut out using a banner die and popped up with foam dots.
I hope you’ll take a little time to leave the rest of the design team and this week’s guest designer a little blog love!

Beautiful white-on-white background and perfect bee image…I can see why the Flight of the Bumblebee same into your head for the cue this week! Bees definitely journey a lot throughout the day, don’t they? Super card, Melissa!
Such a striking CAS design, Melissa! I love the simplicity of the bee, and your honeycomb background is the perfect touch! Fabulous take on the cue card!
Thank you again for having me along as Guest Designer…It’s been a true honor, and I’ve really enjoyed it!
The perfect stamped image for your background Melissa! Pretty card!!
Great minds think alike, Melissa – I have also used the bee for my second CASology card this week! Yours is very different from mine, though, and I absolutely LOVE it! So clean and simplistic, yet the combo of the image and text makes you think… it can mean so much! Thank you very much for showing off my stamps so wonderfully!

Beautifully CAS Melissa with that bit of texture!
I love the direction you went with the cue Melissa! Great design!
What a great idea to have a white die cut on a white card to still keep it CAS. I have to remember that as it really gives an elegance to the card!
You’re right – perfect music for the cue word! Love your sparkly little bee!
Hey Melissa!! You are right being yourself can sometimes be a journey. I love your card.
