CASology JUMPY
Here it is Tuesday again…already…and the middle of June, nonetheless! Summers go by way too fast, don’t they? We’re beginning a new challenge week of CASology fun and the cue word has me jumpin’ for joy! What a fun one!
Lately, the kids and I have been seeing quite a few young grasshoppers in the landscape. I have to say, they are fairly cute when they’re tiny, but I’m not such a big fan once they get big. That’s me with most animals, though. I guess the little girl is still a big part of me, after all!
I remembered Clear & Simple Stamps (shop/website currently down for maintenance) has an adorable bug set and it contains a couple grasshoppers. I wanted to have a grasshopper perched on a leaf as we’ve seen them and went looking for a suitable leaf image in my stash. Uniko Studio to the rescue! I stamped the simple outlined leaf image in black ink off the edge of the card. The grasshopper was then stamped and colored using a water brush and some green pigment ink from A Muse Studio. Once finished, it was popped up on the leaf using foam adhesive. The final touch was the simple, clean fonted sentiment from Mama Elephant stamped in black ink and a touch of clear sparkle. This design is truly my style of clean & simple!
I hope you’ll head on over to the design team members’ blogs this week and leave them a little blog love! They provide so much inspiration and they’d love to hear from you!
Have a terrific Tuesday!

I love how you placed this cute little grasshopper on the leaf, Melissa! A great sentiment and fabulous take on the cue card!
This is so adorable! Love how the hopper really pops since he’s the only color!
