CASology LATE

It’s Tuesday again and time for a brand new cue word over at CASology!  This week’s cue word may very well help add a few belated birthday cards to your stash!

I used a cute little image from My Favorite Things to create a simple design.  There are times when I’ve run a bit late, felt bad about it and could have used a card like this to offer my apologies!

I first stamped the elephant and colored it with Copic markers.  I then die cut the main panel with a stitched rectangle die before stamping the the sentiment in black ink.  The little elephant was popped up above the sentiment with foam adhesive and then I added three clear star sequins.  I love clear embellishments as I feel they help a design feel a little less cluttered than colored ones.  There are times when I don’t really feel like there is much room left for the addition of any kind of embellishments, but sometimes clear embellishments are the answer!  The finished main panel was popped up on the card base using additional foam adhesive.
