CASology POOL
It’s been a while since I posted anything here on the blog. To say life has been full would be a bit of an understatement. The focus of my attention has shifted since the pandemic began to affect daily life and I find myself increasingly focusing on the inward rather than all the outward distractions that have been so readily available. Crafting has taken a bit of a hit, but not because I don’t enjoy it. It’s more a matter of priorities. With the entire family home now for almost four solid months, daily routines have been evolving as we work out what works and what doesn’t work for us. It’s all been a bit of a learning process and as we approach the beginning of another school year, I imagine we will find our home life routine evolving yet again. Thankfully, we as humans are quite adaptable to any situation if we’re just willing to bend a little.
In an attempt to get back into blogging a little more, I wanted to jump in with CASology’s POOL challenge. Most public pools are closed around us, so we are very grateful for the pool one of our neighbors gifted to us last summer. Who knew it would be such a treasured item?!
We go through our fair share of pool floaties with the kids, so I naturally selected an image that featured one! This little chick from Mama Elephant has the right idea for a hot summer day!
The main image was stamped and colored with Copic markers before being die cut with coordinating dies. I applied a little clear effects to add a little shimmer to the floatie. Once dry, I popped the image up over some dots of sand that were created with a marker on the card base. The sentiment was stamped in black ink and the design was complete. A super simple summer greeting!
Head on over to CASology and play along this week for your chance to win the prize from STAMPlorations, our generous sponsor! Be sure and check out the inspiration from the other design team members and our guest designer while you’re at it!
Have a terrific Tuesday!
