CASology SHARP
It’s Tuesday and time for a new cue word over at CASology! The gallery this week should end up looking rather sharp…
This word has more than one definition, thanks to the English language. My thoughts took me to pencils and school. DS1 has loved to sharpen pencils since he was in kindergarten! At our house, we don’t have to worry about dull pencils setting around. Now that he’s older, he does like the mechanical ones, but still can’t resist sharpening those “old fashioned” yellow pencils if given the opportunity! I couldn’t resist putting a yellow pencil on my card design for this week.
I stamped both the pencil and mouse images (Neat & Tangled) with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored them with Copic markers. I stamped the “teacher” onto the pencil. The longer sentiment was stamped in Versafine black ink directly on a piece of grid decorative paper (A Muse Studio) that I’d die cut into a stitched rectangle (A Muse Studio). The pencil and mouse were then popped upon the main panel with foam adhesive.
Once assembled, the main panel was popped up on the white cardstock base using more foam adhesive. With the school year now in full swing, this card will most likely find a recipient soon!
I hope you’ll take some time to visit the design team members’ blogs this week if you have the time! They’ve been working so hard each week to create inspiration for the challenges!
Be sure and link up your own SHARP entry on the CASology blog by Monday at NOON (CST) for your chance to be our next winner or honorable mention!
Have a terrific Tuesday!
