CASology SOFTness
It’s Tuesday and you know that means a new cue word over at CASology! This week, we’re getting a little soft. Not with the rules of clean and simple card design, of course. It still takes certain elements to create an effective CAS design (you can find them on the CASology blog)!
With the number of stuffed animals collected over the years with four children in the house, teddy bears came to mind for this cue! Uniko Studio has a rather adorable teddy bear image in the Sweet Baby set, so I used it to create my design. I die cut the stitched main panel using one of the dies in Mama Elephant’s Femme Frames. The stitching on the die coordinates nicely with the stitching on the bear! I used a piece of yellow decorative paper to paper piece the bear and then stamped the simple, pretty sentiment below it. The main panel was then popped up on the card base using foam dots for a little dimension.
I hope you’ll take a little time to visit the design team and guest designer blogs this week! They work hard each week to provide inspiration for the challenges and would love to hear a little hello from you!
Don’t forget to link up your own clean and simple creation on the challenge blog by Monday at NOON (CST), for your chance to win the prize from Poppystamps, this week’s sponsor!
Have a terrific Tuesday!

Such a cute card and paper piecing the teddy was a great idea! This card design really doesn’t need anything else, super CAS and awesome!
Doesn’t get much softer than a well loved teddy bear! 🙂
This is precious!!
So very adorable. And, I love that retro teddy. Why didn’t I think of all the stuffed animals we have had over the years!
Great soft teddy bear…definitely something we are familiar with at our house, too! I love the paper-piecing, such a nice way to add color and interest. Sweet card, Melissa!
