CASology Sweetness
It’s Tuesday and time for a brand new CASology cue word! This one is pretty sweet!
I couldn’t help but think of the fragrance of a rose, so made a love themed card.
Stamps: STAMPlorations (Rosebuds) |
I kept it one layer and added a little interest by using some shimmery watercolor paints to color the roses. I was so tempted to add some kind of embellishment, but convinced myself this was an effective design without any!
You’ll want to go visit the rest of the design team members’ blogs as well as this week’s guest designer’s blogs to see how they came up with their CAS designs! Talk about talent!
Then, don’t forget to link up your own SWEET creation on the challenge blog by Monday at NOON (CDT) for your chance to win a prize from STAMPlorations, our sponsor this week!
Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet again here lately. I have so much going on right now! We’ve had company coming and going, church events, DD is now under the weather with one whopper of a respiratory virus, year end school events are in full swing and I’m trying to get continuing education hours finished up for my dental hygiene license which renews this summer! One day at a time…

Sweet indeed! And no need of embellishments. 🙂 Reading about you busy schedule, I feel more the annoyance than before for hassling you so many times… Have a great week and hope you'll find some time to relax too!
Aww…so sweet!
Sweet little sparkly flowers!
Yes, very busy days seem to happen in the spring…good luck getting it all done (and hoping your DD feels better soon). I love the sweet roses (nothing like a Shakespeare reference in a card!) as your take on this week's cue. Wonderfully sweet and CAS!

Love that shimmery watercolor – so cool and you're right – it's all the embellishment your gorgeous card needs.
I am in awe of how calm you seem in the midst of all that you have going on. You are inspiring!
Melissa, I am always in awe of your incredible organisation and grace. How you juggle everything in your life is a mystery to me. As Jen says, you are an inspiration in more ways than you probably realise. As for your sweet card – love how you were inspired by one of life's simple, yet treasured pleasures. Am in total agreement re embellishments too. Roses need no embellishments!! Does anything in nature?? Good luck with all your commitments.
Hey Melissa!! Your roses are fabulous. I'm glad you didn't add anything thing else to your card. Its is so pretty and I love the glitter on the the roses. Nicely done. I hope all is well at home. I know you have a lot on your plate but it will change soon.
