CASology Take Out

Visions of a Thanksgiving feast are becoming quite vivid in my mind.  I can almost taste some of the dishes that I know will be on the table!  But first?!  DH & I must make three pies (an apple, pumpkin & pecan this year) and a jello-pretzel salad!

Over at CASology, we thought it would be good to have a similarly themed cue word…

I was going to pull out a Thanksgiving themed image, but Judy beat me to it!  I moved on to Plan B.  As a mother of four, this particular sentiment makes me smile.

We don’t eat out much and when we do, it’s usually pizza.  I love a good Chinese meal, though, and miss the hometown Chinese restaurant I knew as a kid.  Our kids don’t seem to care for this particular type of food, so I usually only get it when out to lunch with my own mother or happen to be in town by myself over the lunch hour.  A rare treat!

I stamped this adorable take out box (Sweet Stamp Shop) and fussy cut it before popping it up with foam dots for dimension.  I added a tiny red gemstone to the Copic-colored bow and a touch of sparkle to the chopsticks using a Wink of Stella brush marker.  The black line at the bottom of the card was masked to ground the small image.

Then, be sure and link up your own EAT creation on the challenge blog by Monday at NOON (CST)!

My mind is having a very difficult time focusing on creative things right now!  I suppose that’s normal with the upcoming holiday and overnight company this week!  Only one more day until turkey (ham this year for us)!

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Melissa

Fun card Melissa!! I usually make both ham and turkey. But it's a smaller bunch for us this year, so it's just the turkey!

Oh, Melissa…sorry I used your idea! I LOVE this fun take-out card…and we all love some yummy Chinese food take-out around here! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving…enjoy your HAM dinner! (I love ham, too…honestly I'd prefer it over turkey, but I'm not the cook, so…). Enjoy!
