CASology with ICING
It’s Tuesday and time for a brand new cue word over at CASology! Brainstorming should be rather sweet this week.
I used an older Hero Arts robot wooden stamp for this design. It’s from the 3 Robots set. The simple, clean font sentiment is from the more recent Hero Arts Birthday Animal Silhouettes set. I stamped the robot first in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, coloring it with Copic markers. I then applied a thin layer of Molotow Art Masking Liquid to the middle of the robot to prevent it from being inked while creating the curvy line. I used one of the curvy Landscape Dies from A Muse to create a stencil for the inked curve. After making sure the masking liquid was dry, I used the new Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in Spiced Marmalade (orange) and Faded Jeans (blue) to create the curved line. I then removed the masking liquid from the robot and applied Orange Slice Stickles for a little sparkle and interest. The main panel was adhered to a black piece of cardstock to frame it and then the assembled piece was popped up on the card base with foam adhesive. I couldn’t resist adding a couple of googly eyes to finish the design.
Don’t forget to leave the design team members and our guest designer a little blog love this week for all the wonderful inspiration they’ve created! We love hearing from you!
Then, don’t forget to link up your own ICING creation on the challenge blog by Monday at NOON (CDT) for your chance to win the prize from Serendipity Stamps, this week’s sponsor!
I’m thinking it may be a cupcake kind of day in our house. White…with buttercream frosting. And, of course, colorful sprinkles!
I’m also linking this card up to the April Anything Goes Challenge (as long as it includes Hero Arts images) over at A Blog Named Hero!
Have a terrific Tuesday!
