Things seem to be heating up again in our area!  We got a call on our answering machine this week saying school would be dismissed two hours early due to the heat.  Summer is laughing at us!  I just know it!

I thought I’d share a clean and simple card I made for this week’s Clean & Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.  We were to focus on a “summer treats” theme!  Since I tend to adore all summer treats, I chose to summarize my liking for sweet summer treats into one image…ice.  Anything ice cold in the summer has no problem being eaten by me!

This adorable image is from Unity and both the sentiment and ice cube image are from the June 2012 Kit of the Month.  As seems to be my weekly tradition, I am including this in today’s Friends with Flair blog hop!

I kept the main color scheme black & white and then added one little red heart for interest.  The ice cubes were doctored up with a bit of Crystal Effects to give them shine!  So fun!
