Colour Q Summer Greetings
I found a little time this morning to play along with Colour Q’s challenge (which ends in just a few short hours). It was raining again and I needed to create a little sunshine!
These colors just grabbed my attention and pulled me in. So warm and inviting! And flip flops?! I knew exactly which stamp set was going to get inked up. It’s been a while, but I dusted off Paper Trey’s Flipping Out and went to work!
I didn’t have the exact colors listed as for some reason, I never ordered the newest In Color palette from Stampin’ Up! I’ll have to remedy that now that the new catalog is in my hands. Crushed Curry was substituted for Hello Honey. I stamped the floral flip flops in Pool Party ink on So Saffron cardstock. The outline of the flip flops and the sentiment were stamped in Soft Suede (Oh, how I still love that color!). I added a gemstone the color of Pool Party to the center of the flower after I’d added a little Wink of Stella marker sparkle. The flip flops, flower and stitched main panel were all popped up with foam dots.
I’m ready for sunshine. The last few days have been nothing but rain and gray skies. With four children in the house, we’re all due for some outdoor play!
