Crazed
To pass the time until I can run outside barefoot and breathe deeply without choking on frosty air (& freezing my nose hairs), I’ve been playing along with the Clean & Simple Spring Design Team Search over at Splitcoast Stampers. We’re into Round 2 and are to create a card with an animal or animal print and think about lingerie (We’re on a Macy’s tour…)!!! Yikes!
For some reason, I wasn’t really in the mood to use an animal image as my focal point, so I searched my stash for some kind of animal print (more specifically, a leopard print), finding only some animal footprints from various species. However, I knew that probably wasn’t exactly the kind of “print” the challenge coordinator was looking for. All at once, that life-saving light bulb in my tired brain flickered on and I remembered a trendy set from Fresh Squeezed Stamps that I’d purchased not so long ago! Whew! Leopard print triangles, anyone?!
I played around with different arrangements of the triangles and then gave up on creating any kind of recognizable design that would resemble anything to do with lingerie. The closest I came was a bikini top made out of two triangles! Pushing those thoughts aside, I went with a heart theme, using the triangles to decorate a negative die cut. Funny how the crazy mind works sometimes!

This is so fun! I love that print!
Love it! I never would have guessed that was a triangle stamp the way you put it together.
I love the print and how you created that neat design inside the heart!
If it's any consolation Melissa, I saw two robins the day before the official Spring! And my tulips are trying to be brave little soldiers and have popped their little shoots up, here in Wisconsin. Your card is amazing! I would have never thought of your technique. Simply brilliant! Bev
What a cute card Melissa, I love that pink animal print.
Very creative! Good luck! I think I'll be seeing your name on the design team list!
Definitely worth the effort because this is adorable! Such a cool pattern and in my mind pink leopard print = lingerie! LOL!
And I used to HATE getting frozen nose hair! That's one thing I definitely don't miss from my days in the US…
Hello Melissa, I am in Iowa and yes I am sick of the snow too. I am so ready for warmer weather. Thanks for your comment on my Music Notes Wheel Card on my blog and the Scallop and dots are from a Needlepoint Texture Folder from Stampin' Up! Where are you at in the midwest? Hugs, Bev
