Yes, It’s been rather quiet here the past couple days! I’ve been on a mini staycation here at home from blogging & the general craziness of life, taking time to refocus and muster up some of the mojo that has been sneaking away recently. I’m back today with a card for Dynamic Duos before I head off into a busy weekend! To be honest, I’m feeling ready for the slowdown of cooler days! It’s time. I actually wore a sweatshirt last night while sitting in front of the open windows! Love that!
This week at Dynamic Duos, we get some softer colors to play with:
Feeling the need for a couch kind of day this week, I made this simple card with the color duo! The pattern on the couch reminds me so much of a couch my in-laws have in their basement (from the 70’s, perhaps?)! Oranges & greens on some sort of velvet textured material! I added the strip of embossed cardstock to the lower portion of the card to bring out the dots on the couch. Other than that, I popped up the little round cushion with a foam dot and added a little drop of Stickles to its center.

Love, love, LOVE this one, Melissa! Although I have been having quite a few “couch days” since my foot surgery. THe little popped up pillow and embossed accnt are the perfect touch. Have a fun weekend! 🙂

Everyone needs a couch day now and then! The pattern on the couch reminds me of a well-loved old sofa my parents used to own! Cute card! I too love sweatshirt weather, and look forward to more of it!
