Dizzy with CASology
It’s Tuesday and time for a brand new cue word over at CASology! I don’t know about other parents, but my head begins to spin about now as summer begins to wind down and preparations for the upcoming school year begin! I’m slowly checking things off the to do list, but there is still plenty to do yet! Registration is done. Clothes shopping is done. School supplies shopping is up next. What about you?
I had some older stamps and dies in my stash from Uniko Studio, our sponsor, that I used to create my design this week. I’ve noticed this summer just how tricky it is to follow a butterfly when it’s in flight! Makes one a bit dizzy if trying to keep up! Thus, the reason for the image I chose, a die cut butterfly!
I stenciled the background and spritzed it with both white and gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine sprays. Once dry, I stamped the sentiment. The butterfly was die cut from white cardstock and popped up with a tiny piece of a foam dot. The gold gemstone was added as a solitary embellishment. Simple as ever!
Be sure and take some time to go leave some blog love on the rest of the design team members’ blogs and the guest designer’s blog! They put a lot of time and effort in each week to create the wonderful inspiration you see!

Have a terrific Tuesday!

I love your take on dizzy – beautiful card, Melissa!I am in compete denial that school starts next week for us.
Very pretty card! Clever take on a cue word 😉 Thank you!
That butterfly has been on the move, look at his trail!! Cute card Melissa! I don’t envy the school supply shopping, glad that’s long over for us. The lists get longer and the $$$ gets higher!!

Hmmmm! School supply shopping! Fortunately, we now get sent our respective lists near the end of term, and get to place our orders online before the end of the school year. Everything gets packaged up and delivered during the holidays! At least that’s one tick over and done with (but a pricey one just before Christmas!). Back to this beautiful card – I love how you interpreted the cue! I very nearly went down the same path…
Melissa, I love that background and that pretty white butterfly. Such a fun take on the cue! Yes, I’m getting a bit dizzy thinking about the return to school and work…my to-do-list is not quite done yet, and slight panic is setting in! Why do I do this to myself every summer? My list is too long! I hope your back-to-school preparations are going well !
